Mulligan: reply, add thread with quote from Zach

* Well, it's for a HSG message, and in the HSG, there is a character with nickname 'Mulligan' that I assume the latest event message is referring to since his power is temporal rewind and the character has been around a while. Perhaps you can confirm that assumption? In any case, the character has a first name of 'John', the profile photo is the same as John, and the bio seems to fit John's history, so that's the connection. I'll note it in John's page so there isn't any confusion.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:03, 18 December 2009 (EST)

** Ah, I see. I think Zach was referring to this mulligan...but I'll double check with him. -- 23:40, 18 December 2009 (EST)

*** Yeah, it would be good to check with him. Though since the info. about Mulligan is from Zach, I think it probable this is the character in Heroes: Survival he was referring to that had already appeared in the iStory. Turns out it is a vandal, and one that doesn't like you very much. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 16:14, 4 December 2009 (EST)

  • Thanks, I've blocked him and left a comment on his user page.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:02, 4 December 2009 (EST)

Howie Kaplan and DPL

Hey, Miami. Would you mind checking out the discussion at Talk:Howie Kaplan (crew) when you get a chance? Maybe with some of your DPL expertise, you could come up with another solution... :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:05, 4 December 2009 (EST)

  • Sure; taken care of by altering the NovelsCreated template to accept a name. Presto. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:08, 4 December 2009 (EST)
    • Awesome. You are Da Man, with a capital D. While we're on the subject of DPL issues, Antonio Fabela's name is not showing up. He colored Almost Famous with Edgar Delgado, and DPL is only recognizing one of the colorists. I chose Edgar to be the one recognized because he has so many credits, whereas Antonio only has one. Right now Antonio's page is crediting him manually. Any chance you can work your magic? :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:15, 4 December 2009 (EST)
      • Nope, still not working. Check out Edgar Delgado's page. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:26, 4 December 2009 (EST)
        • Well, the extra stuff we can filter out, I think. At least Antonio's page works now. Now to fix Edgar's page.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:28, 4 December 2009 (EST)
        • Ok, Edgar's page looks good now. If Edgar is missing any other novels, let me know. I fixed Almost Famous by using comments to make the DPL think there were two colorsby sections.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:44, 4 December 2009 (EST)
          • Unfortunately, that created another issue. All the novels Edgar colored after Almost Famous are now missing. There are nine missing altogether. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:56, 4 December 2009 (EST)
            • Yeah, I thought it had looked shorter than normal. Anyways, that's fixed too now. I ended up just filtering out the extra text on Edgar's page using the substring function and removing the commented stuff from Almost Famous. That seems to work. Not sure there's any cleaner way to fix it until DPL is upgraded.--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:46, 5 December 2009 (EST)
              • Very clever! I knew you'd figure something out. Nicely done! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:33, 5 December 2009 (EST)

Double Redirects

Hey Miami, can you possibly tell me how double redirects can be avoided please? I just made a page, with a notice saying I would move it into my namespace, as the only way to make it was to have it as a mainspace page first. But I realised I moved it to the wrong name. I moved it again and checked if there was a double redirect, which there now is :/ Help me please? -- Leckie -- Talk 16:53, 17 December 2009 (EST)

  • I'll go ahead and delete the unneeded pages for you. In the future, just edit the unneeded pages to remove the redirect and mark them with an afd tag so they can be deleted.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:55, 17 December 2009 (EST)
    • Thanks! :) -- Leckie -- Talk 16:59, 17 December 2009 (EST)

Image sources

Got your message. Is that just something I add in the summary? I didn't put them in because how to do that wasn't really clear. :)--Saberproductions (talk) 07:54, 18 December 2009 (EST)

  • Yes, just add them to the summaries for the image articles. Also, when you comment on talk pages, you should add --~~~~ at the end of your comment (or click the javascript signature button) such that a signature appears when you save the article, enabling others to know the message was from you.--MiamiVolts (talk) 08:27, 18 December 2009 (EST)

User talk:I.absorb.abilities

I.absorb.abilities keeps on wiping his talk page, Radicell has already told him that he shouldn't but he is keeping on doing it -- Leckie -- Talk 14:10, 18 December 2009 (EST)

  • Well, although it's not polite to just clear the comments left for him, it is his talk page, so I think it's okay if he does that that.--MiamiVolts (talk) 14:34, 18 December 2009 (EST)

Forgive me Miami...

...for I have vandalized. This is my first confession.--PUSHPIPE 17:50, 18 December 2009 (EST)

  • It's okay. Just please don't do it again or you may be blocked permanently.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:05, 18 December 2009 (EST)

How do we know Mulligan is John? I think I may have missed that connection... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:39, 18 December 2009 (EST)
