****** Stereotypes exist for a reason. They are generally based somewhat on truth, not that it is right to make blanket statements about a people, but there are negative, neutral, and positive stereotypes. I'm sorry, but all of these things you people have listed exist, and they do so in great numbers. I can name hundreds of people i know that are just like these stereotypes. So I don't see what the problem with fiction using this as a starting ground is. it is the other stuff that makes the character (or person) special. Sure D.L. is a divorced black male w/ an arrest record, but he is also a hero, a firefighter, a loving father. Claire is the popular klutzy blonde, but she is also a girl willing to do anything to save her family and has learned what a true friend is. ~Action Figure

Even in graphic novels, the stereotypes appear in the form of the angry black chick. :) --NellaBishop 06:13, 22 April 2008 (EDT)

Pension

I really liked this novel, especially with the comment Noah made to Donna, "There's a reason why there's no pension plan", heh...I've been waiting for a line like that to turn up ever since Golden Handshake, Part 4 so kudos to Chuck Kim on the good dialogue this time around and the interesting storyline. Also, I thought Peter Steigerwald did good on the artwork and likenesses, except the Noah he drew seemed to me to look about 20 years too young. Maybe Peter just used the wrong reference? :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:15, 22 April 2008 (EDT)
