Can sources please be added for the 'Memorable Quotes'? I've heard a few of them in the previews that I have seen (including all the ones linked from this site), but don't remember hearing most of the quotes. I'd like to know which previews I have missed. Also, I believe that the quotes section should conform to the normal guidelines about attributing sources. Havoc 10:59, 29 April 2007 (EDT) |

*The quotes should probaby have a source, but I didn't write any of them, and I don't regularly watch the previews, so I'm no help to you. As for the format, they look pretty good (other than missing cites). But if you see something wrong with them, by all means, you're entitled to fix them. If you're not sure how, just let somebody know specifically what the problem is and we'll be glad to help out and fix it up for you. :) — <font color=#0147FA>RyanGibsonStewart</font> (<font color=#0147FA>talk</font>) 14:45, 29 April 2007 (EDT) |

So Monsters-Golden Handshake, Part 1 (1-43) would be in the first collection, would this be the Season One of Graphic Novels? It seams odd that they would have only the fist part of a seres though. -Lөvөl 15:32, 6 August 2007 (EDT) |

Revision as of 19:32, 6 August 2007
Spoilers from other sites should be paraphrased, not cut-and-pasted. Even with a source attributed, that's just asking for copyright trouble.--Hardvice (talk) 16:54, 15 March 2007 (EDT)
- It's okay to cut and paste a quote, right? As long as it's something they are reporting somebody said. It's just the words in between that need to be re-written. --Xmuskrat 09:10, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
- Correct. It's even OK to quote the reporting site itself, as long as it's a quote (i.e. between quotations marks and attributed to the "speaker".) For example, if Kristin Veitch wrote "Peter is going to die of an infected toenail and Claire will become a lesbian nun", this could be recorded several ways:
- According to Kristin Veitch, "Peter is going to die of an infected toenail and Claire will become a lesbian nun". (link)
- Kristin Veitch reports that Peter will suffer a fatal infected toenail, while Claire will simultaneously become a lesbian and a nun. (link)
- Peter is going to die of an infected toenail and Claire will become a lesbian nun. (link)
- The first two are acceptable: #1 is a properly-attributed quote, and #2 is a paraphrase. #3 is what people have been doing lately, and that's not OK since it's copied but not labeled as a quote.--Hardvice (talk) 14:01, 20 March 2007 (EDT)

Wizard World Q&A session Spoiler
- Wait, Sylar didn't get Eden's power. Why is it listed? Peter met Eden so he probably has it but he didn't get it from Sylar. Bkdelong 16:51, 4 April 2007 (EDT)
- Yes, Peter met Eden in Collision, as credited. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 04/4/2007 17:22 (EST)
- But, if this section is supposed to list all of the abilities that he has, there are several others that should be listed:
- Yes, Peter met Eden in Collision, as credited. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 04/4/2007 17:22 (EST)
- Wait, Sylar didn't get Eden's power. Why is it listed? Peter met Eden so he probably has it but he didn't get it from Sylar. Bkdelong 16:51, 4 April 2007 (EDT)
- Regeneration (from Claire)
- Invisibility (from Claude)
- Bendu Supesu andu Timu (from Hiro)
- (etc.)
- Peter has used his Eden ability of Persuasion in an episode, so there is no need to list it here if we are only listing those he may not realize he has used. --Prosthetic.Lips 15:51, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
- The writers have stated (repeatedly) that Peter's (and Sylar's) voice effects are just effects. There's still no confirmed instance of him using Eden's power. The purpose of this section is to mention the writers' explanation that Peter can duplicate all of Sylar's powers (which runs contrary to Greg Beeman's claim that he can't, but hey). I'm not sure why that's a spoiler and not merely a note, since it relates to past episodes, not unaired episodes, and I'm not sure what the value of listing the individual powers is. In any case, there's even less value in listing powers he has displayed like Claire's or Claude's here, since they are in no way spoilers.--Hardvice (talk) 15:56, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
- No we get that, Hardvice. It's just that whomever wrote that section added Eden's powers as one of the powers that Peter gleaned from Sylar, which is inaccurate. Unless Sylar was able to glean it from chunks of Eden's brain in the mere seconds he had before Haitian and HRG came in shooting... --Icewind
- Actually, I took that section to be a list of powers Peter has come in contact with but not duplicated, since it also included the Haitian's power. It was awkwardly worded and hinged on Peter having other powers from Sylar he had not shown, but I don't think it was meant to imply he got the power from Sylar--particularly since it said he got it from Eden.--Hardvice (talk) 12:58, 18 April 2007 (EDT)
- And on second review, I don't think there's any way anyone could construe it as Peter getting the power from Sylar. As far back as the original edit, all of his Sylar-obtained powers have said (from Sylar in Homecoming), while persuasion has always read (from Eden in Collision). No one ever added Eden's powers as one gained from Sylar. Also, that's not even close to the issue being discussed: the comment to which I was responding was "Peter has used his Eden ability of Persuasion in an episode". Next.--Hardvice (talk) 13:07, 18 April 2007 (EDT)

Episodes 19-23
So, should we assume spoilerfix.com is accurate and reliable? Should we go ahead and make spoiler articles for these eps? (By the way, does anybody else think that these titles could double as really good porn titles?) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:52, 19 March 2007 (EDT)
- I particularly think the Exploding Man would be quite the porn title.--Bob 22:58, 19 March 2007 (EDT)
- What about "The Hard Part"? ;) --Havoc 04:22, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
- Maybe if it was G-String Theory. --Xmuskrat 09:03, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
- We have separate confirmation on several of these from Herosite (though they could have the same source), and separate confirmation about String Theory from Adrian Pasdar thanks to Pull Stuff Randomly Out of Your Ass with Kristin. I'd say that's enough to add spoiler articles. We can always move them later and say "the story changed!"--Hardvice (talk) 15:26, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
- I've heard that NBC has renamed episode 20 to "Five Years Gone". Can someone confirm if this is true? --MiamiVolts 18:57, 13 April 2007 (EDT)
- We probably won't know until it airs. Heroe!(talk) 19:05, 13 April 2007 (EDT)
- Right. So far, lots of reports, but nothing out of NBC.--Hardvice (talk) 19:12, 13 April 2007 (EDT)
- We might know next week when the TV Guide listings are updated. But I just checked the NBC Press Release (dated today) [1] and it still shows as "String Theory".--MiamiVolts 19:46, 13 April 2007 (EDT)
- I'm sure it's correct, but it's just not confirmed. I'll make a note on the page. BTW, NBC is still calling Parasite "Like Any Parasite" on their gallery. Hrmph. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:48, 13 April 2007 (EDT)
- Thanks for the note. TV Guide listings for April 30th came out today, but they show 'String Theory' as the title. --MiamiVolts 14:31, 16 April 2007 (EDT)
- I noticed that Herosite.net has changed the name to 'FIve Years Gone' and the two preview trailers posted to youtube have the new name, but the official NBC website schedule for Monday April 30th still shows it listed as 'String Theory'. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 04/24/2007 09:42 (EST)
- It seems pretty clear to me now from the sneak peek trailers that the name has been changed. The trailers (http://spoilertv-heroes.blogspot.com/2007/04/five-years-gone-sneak-peeks.html) look very real.--MiamiVolts 16:46, 25 April 2007 (EDT)
- Yeah, I'm convinced. I'm hoping what happened was somebody at NBC got mixed up between the episode set in the future and the graphic novel set in the future. I'll go ahead and make necessary changes now. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:10, 25 April 2007 (EDT)
- Actually, Aron and Joe called it Five Years Gone in the last CBR interview. That, coupled with all the chatter should have been enough for us ... but seeing the actual title card, well, that's pretty convincing. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:23, 25 April 2007 (EDT)

A most intriguing proposition
I hereby propose that due to the unreliable nature of Kristin Veitch's "spoilers" that we leave them off the spoiler articles. Heroe!(talk) 17:38, 17 April 2007 (EDT)
- Though her reliability is at best suspect, the entertainment her fallible musings provide is completely worth it. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:48, 17 April 2007 (EDT)
- I say just mark them and let her ruin her own reputation. --Xmuskrat 17:52, 17 April 2007 (EDT)
Spoiler:Upcoming Graphic Novels
Should these have their own article? On the one hand, there's (currently) plenty of spoilers for them to sustain their own article. On the other hand, we usually have zero information on upcoming graphic novels. Hmmm.--Hardvice (talk) 15:45, 23 April 2007 (EDT)
- I don't really think so--I can't think of an instance in which we've known anything about upcoming GNs unless it was from Jason Badower. They could maybe have their own section, but not their own article....I tried to change the lead to reflect include GN spoilers--I'll go ahead and add a section. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:50, 23 April 2007 (EDT)

Season One Graphic Novels
So Monsters-Golden Handshake, Part 1 (1-43) would be in the first collection, would this be the Season One of Graphic Novels? It seams odd that they would have only the fist part of a seres though. -Lөvөl 15:32, 6 August 2007 (EDT)
