Character History

One Giant Leap

When Hiro and Ando arrive in Los Angeles, CA, Hiro goes to a Hotspur Rental Car Inc. kiosk in LAX to rent a car from the Hotspur employee. Ando, however, wants to fly the rest of the way, but Hiro refuses. Hiro turns to the end of Issue 14 of the 9th Wonders! comic book, and it shows that they rent a Nissan Versa at the airport and drive to Las Vegas, NV.

• According to Tim Sale, Jeph Loeb claims "that there really is a Hotspur Car Rental somewhere". None have been located by fans. (Incidentally, Tim Sale has a dog named Hotspur, but claims that the car rental facility is not the dog's namesake. However, Oliver Grigsby hints otherwise.)
• When Jessica waits outside Ridgway Jewelry to kill Aron Malsky, an advertisement for "Hotspur Rental Cars" is visible on a taxi cab behind her. (Run!)
