While discussing Adam Monroe, Bob shows Nathan an article on a snowfall in Miami on November 21, 2006 in the Miami Bugle newspaper. Bob notes to Nathan that this event should have been a tsunami that would have wiped out the Eastern seaboard of the United States if the Company had not interfered.

- Miami is the only major U.S. city to have been founded by a woman, Julia Tuttle.
- The city is named after the Mayaimi tribe of Florida. "Mayaimi" means "big water" in their language.
