Character History
Orientation
Samuel first appears at the beginning of Orientation with a group of people of all ages and races. He is seen to be the leader of the mysterious group, and runs the carnival that they all work at. Using his ability, he buries the coffin of his brother Joseph. He is seen again later, with his associate Lydia. He pokes her with a long stick and ink floods into her skin. After she gives him information on Danko, he sends Edgar to 'go get the compass,' once again using his ability to make him do so.
Jump, Push, Fall
He is later seen again, this time asking Lydia for information on Hiro Nakamura. After gaining the information, he asks Arnold to send him back in time. Fourteen years in the past, Samuel tries to persuade Hiro to use his power to right past wrongs. Later, he uses his power again. Using his strange tattoo power once again, images of Claire, Sylar, and Peter appear on Lydia's back.
Graphic Novel:Stolen Fate
Fourteen years ago at the Sullivan Bros. Carnival, Samuel deals with an incident caused by Edgar and Lydia. Samuel is dissapointed that Lydia would allow Edgar to drag her along, and slaps Edgar when he calls the fortune teller a hag as he worries what Joseph would think if he heard him.
Evolved Human Abilities
Samuel has the ability to move earth and manipulate minerals with the power of his mind. He has shown that he has a mental influence over the earth as well as a form of ink presumably made out of soot and walnut oil.
