Guillame: a Vodouist priest | |
The vodou or vodoo is an african-originated religion (allso considered a sect) brought to America by the african slaves, It was highly distributed in all Central and South America. And to this days some people still practice it.
It is not like the popular belief a zombie-related sect, in fact the vodou dalls have much more influence from the Wicca, than from the vodou itself. Is a conformed religion which is based in rituals which have a lot of simbolism in them, using items like fruits and pictures(even though there are chiken sacrifices, it is badly seen in the religion itself, its more like a fanatism in that point wich according to the vodou can result in disaster to the practician), but its basicly the servilism and adoration of the Loa the most important part.
