Brain Removal

This information was already covered in Sylar's Victims --Orne 23:11, 14 November 2006 (EST)

  • Agreed. It should probably be merged.--Hardvice (talk) 23:31, 14 November 2006 (EST)
    • Not all of Sylar's victims had their brains removed. As of this point in the show, we don't know for sure why Sylar is removing brains. I would like to see more outside information (and links) about brain removal, especially real-life examples. --Ryangibsonstewart
      • Sounds good. We can do some cleanup to separate the topics. --Orne 09:31, 15 November 2006 (EST)

Screen Caps

Does anyone have access to screen caps of Jackie's murder? Cool sequence - I wish we could get some pics. Ryangibsonstewart 17:43, 21 November 2006 (EST)

  • What part? As he's splitting her head open? I'll grab one.--Hardvice (talk) 13:19, 28 November 2006 (EST)
    • Yeah, thanks, that'd be great, Hardvice ... much obliged! Ryangibsonstewart 15:10, 28 November 2006 (EST)

Caption for GIF

I can't seem to get a caption for the gif on this page. It's typed in, but won't show up. Any kind souls out there that can figure this out for me? Thanks! - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:33, 29 November 2006 (EST)

Done! (Admin 23:39, 29 November 2006 (EST))
Oh, so that's how you do it! Thanks so much! - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:45, 29 November 2006 (EST)

Proof of Encephalophagia

On the regular wiki there seems to be a bit of confusion on wether or not to classify Sylar as a cannibal or not. I know that that's no really our concern, but what are other people's thoughts on this?--Piemanmoo 20:17, 9 May 2007 (EDT)

  • The common theory, semi-confirmed by writers, is that he eats his victims' brains. Eating other humans = cannibalism. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:17, 9 May 2007 (EDT)
    • After watching Kindred, I think it's pretty clear that he isn't actually eating his victims' brains. After finishing whatever it is he needed to do to Candice to gain her ability, he stands up in full view. His hands are covered in blood, yet there isn't a drop on or around his mouth. Seemed like pretty definitive proof to me. --Yoshie 13:41, 9 Oct 2007 (EST)

D.L. removed the brain?

I figured he just crushed it or something...--Riddler 20:33, 16 May 2007 (EDT)

  • He sure seemed to have something more than just blood in his hand. I'd have to revisit a screencap to be sure. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:43, 16 May 2007 (EDT)
    • In the scene at the beginning of HtSaEM, on the ground you see his hand wide open, and no traces of "brain matter" around. --Riddler 21:16, 23 May 2007 (EDT)
      • It may be a while later, but I think this is still open to arguement.--Riddler 18:37, 9 October 2007 (EDT)

Alternate futures?

Are we sure there were two different futures in which Claire had died by Sylar's hand? I thought the first one was just misunderstanding on Future Hiro's part.

  • The first one we know if is from String Theory, when Sylar killed Claire at Homecoming, then became the bomb. FHiro stopped this by going back in time, meeting Peter on the subway, and giving him the message. The second killing happened in 2011 in Angela's home, as seen in Five Years Gone. I don't know of any misunderstanding on FHiro's part, unless you know something I don't know. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:30, 26 May 2007 (EDT)
    • What Ryan said. Future Hiro's memories aren't wrong; they're just of events that never happened after his trip to the past to meet Peter. Since he stabbed Sylar and watched him regenerate with his own eyes and watched him explode with his own eyes in the original timeline, it's a fairly safe bet that that's what actually happened. In the altered timeline, after his trip back in time to save Peter, he remembers Sylar being the bomb, which didn't happen. Everybody else thinks Sylar was the bomb, but that's because Nathan covered up Peter's involvement. So everybody else is mistaken, but Future Hiro's just remembering the wrong past.--Hardvice (talk) 12:06, 26 May 2007 (EDT)
      • It's possible he's wrong. He probably wasn't there as the explosion occurred or else he'd have been killed, so he probably teleported away at some point prior. Like everyone else he may just believe that it was Sylar. So unless Future Hiro said at some point that he watched Sylar explode with his own eyes I think the safest thing is to not necessarily claim that it WAS Sylar, but instead just make sure any references are worded that Hiro claims or says that it was Sylar. Claire's brain

Does Claire's brain go under attempted brain removals or an actual brain removed? He got the power but he didn't need to take the brain.--Rayhond 03:08, 23 September 2008 (EDT)

  • He took something from it. I would put it under actual removal. Besides, the distinction is less about the brain being removed, and more about Sylar's success in what he is trying to do. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 03:17, 23 September 2008 (EDT)
