Level 5

i don't get that level 5 thing? wasn't the level 5 escape when noah got out? and he brought in meredith later? or is it the breach that Daphne caused and got flint out to work for arthur. --mc_hammark 06:57, 6 October 2009 (EDT)

• Yeah, it really bugs me that they don't have a sense of continuity in this series anymore. Of course, I think it's either been said or implied that the graphic novels are not canon--Gibbeynator 07:08, 6 October 2009 (EDT)
  • Maybe the message was referring to Angela's awakening and preparing for protection of the Catalyst? Or Noah and Meredith were called in to go to Pinehearst (and to fall into Sylar's trap instead)? AltesUTC CH
    • I think the only time Level 5 was really compromised was when everyone, INCLUDING NOAH, broke out.--Gibbeynator 09:32, 6 October 2009 (EDT)
      • No continuity? Says who? I think there's great continuity between the graphic novels and the episodes. The graphic novels, by the way, are considered near-canon. Timeline inconsistencies...

They say a year ago, which bring us to September (or October) 2006. However, Noah didn't work with Meredith then. This's way stupid.. And also with the Level 5 thing and everything... It started to be ridiculous. NBC please explain this or do something to invalidate this GN, let it happen in an alternate reality or something but please don't be so careless anymore... --Janrodrigo 10:35, 6 October 2009 (EDT)

  • Good point Radicell. But then did Claire, Annie and Gretchen start the college from the second semester? And we know that we're 3 weeks ahead of An Invisible Thread which supposedly happened in June 2007. Or we're 3 weeks ahead of the 5th volume trailer that they showed at the end of An Invisible Thread which supposedly happened in July or August 2007. If we find no other clue about whether we're in the automn of 2007 or at the spring of 2008, we've to dig into volume 4's storylines one-by-one to see whether there's a breakage point between episodes/storylines. Because if we're supposedly in 2008, then it means that in the last volume there was many weeks' gap between some events. --Janrodrigo 11:27, 6 October 2009 (EDT)

  • Oh, now I realise... Me and Radicell were both wrong because we forgot about Villains where Noah and Meredith are partners but instead remembered only the one in Dying of the Light and Eris Quod Sum where Noah offers Meredith company partnership and Meredith accepts it.       • Yours also is a good point. Then can we can deduce from this that Meredith was repartnered with Mr. Bennet after the case of Danny Pine and before the train incident? --Janrodrigo 12:21, 6 October 2009 (EDT)
        • Partners often switched around in the Company. Ultimately, this novel could have logically taken place any time from September 2006 to March 2007. I would consider any of those times to be "a year ago". But we also must remember that the novel itself (which says "not too long ago") is the near-canon source. The introductions to the novels are not written by the graphic novel writers, and they are often riddled with mistakes.             • They talk about Claire. No way it was in Sept. 2006. This has to be after Danny Pine's second capture, and they get called to Primetech for some reason. Maybe someone from the carnival was in there, and it will be in a upcoming graphic novel?--Ratclaws 12:43, 6 October 2009 (EDT)
              • Noah was referring to Claire (he may have already guessed what her power was), but nobody actually mentioned her. Or did they? AltesUTC CH
                • Yep, Meredith thought about Claire, and Noah mentioned her by name as they went into the pet store, saying not every girl was like her.--Ratclaws 12:49, 6 October 2009 (EDT)
                  • The way Noah speaks to Meredith in the novel, it's clear they Meredith knows Claire is her daughter. So yes, it can't be Spetember. But then it makes no sense then again. Because in Villains Thompson releases Meredith after the train wreck:

Thompson and a captured Meredith watch as firemen arrive to deal with the train wreck. Meredith explains that 14 years ago the Company caught up to her and killed her baby daughter Claire. Realizing who Meredith’s daughter is, he frees Meredith and tells her to go before he changes his mind. As Meredith leaves, Claire approaches the burning train wreck below and rescues a fireman.
