Okay who else was seriously disappointed by that?????????

It's about time they posted it, but its REALLY bad. At least we got a confirmation on the Haitain's name, but that's about the only GOOD part of it.--WarGrowlmon18 19:45, 9 June 2010 (EDT)

This page needs to be organized

An appearances template needs to be created, and Template:GN must be added. --Radicell 19:53, 9 June 2010 (EDT)

Its gotta be said

It took them what? 3 weeks to come up with that? Its crap! They really could've done much better as a way to tie up the series! --Leckie -- Talk 13:27, 10 June 2010 (EDT)

  • One word...........disappointed!! --Jenx222 | U / T / C | <inlcudeonly>08:00, 7 January 2012 (EST) 14:30, 10 June 2010 (EDT)
  • I don't think they spent the last three weeks writing/drawing/colouring that, it was probably done much before then. This wasn't designed to be the series finale, and was written long before the series cancellation was announced. Maybe in the future they'll make another comic (or series of comics) to better wrap things up, but this isn't it. --Maelwys 14:54, 10 June 2010 (EDT)
    • I am very disappoint.--Adamhiro 22:56,10 June 2010 (LT)
      • VERY disappointing, but then again, this was probably just meant to lead into the next comic, instead of being the final comic. I'm sure we'd still be disappointed, but not on this level.--Gibbeynator 18:42, 10 June 2010 (EDT)
  • I agree with Maelwys. I think this novel was written in advance of the decision to not renew the series for the Fall. As it is, I think it is a nice ending to this set of graphic novels, giving us confirmation on the name of René's ability, another '9' reference (Elle turned 9), and another look at some of the founders in 1991. Though, I'm hoping too that we'll get more comics and that the TV movie that was mentioned will be able to start production soon.--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:53, 11 June 2010 (EDT)
    • I think that this put the Haitian's name back in doubt, as his name was presented in quotes on his badge, but Elle's wasn't. --Gibbeynator 08:15, 11 June 2010 (EDT)
      • I think that it was just in quotes to indicate how little they knew about him. They didn't know his full name, they didn't know his age, they knew that he went by the name "Rene", but for all they knew that wasn't even his real name. He was a mystery, even to the Company. --Maelwys 10:50, 11 June 2010 (EDT)

Cake?

Angela: "Poor girl. How's she holding up?"
Bob: "Birthday cake? Really, Angie?"
Angela: "It was the last one they had."

This dialogue is inconsistent and somewhat confusing. What is it supposed to mean? Cake seems like a pretty common birthday treat to me. And how do you jump from the thought pattern of "why did you bring cake" to that of "it was the last one left"? --Boycool Two little mice fell in a bucket of cream. The first mouse quickly gave up and drowned. The second mouse wouldn't quit. He struggled so hard that eventually he churned that cream into butter and crawled out. Amen. 09:06, 11 June 2010 (EDT)

  • My interpretation of this conversation was that it wasn't actually her birthday at all. Bob was told that cake would cheer her up, so he asked Angela to buy a cake. When she stopped at the cake shop, the only cake that they had left was a birthday cake, so Angela bought it. When she showed up with it, Bob wasn't questioning why she brought cake (because Kaito had just called and asked her too, so obviously that would be a silly question), he was questioning why she brought a birthday cake. Since that was the only option they had left at that point, they had to use it anyway. Rather than confuse the girl further (by trying to explain why they were giving her a birthday cake when it wasn't her birthday), they just stuck a candle in it ("Now she's nine"), hastily scratched over/updated her badge, and told her that it was her birthday. Between the Haitian's mind-wipe, and the lithium drip in her arm, she'd have believed anything at that point. Not exactly the first lie that this particular group has conspired to tell, and definitely not the last. --Maelwys 10:47, 11 June 2010 (EDT)
