Damen Peak is the chairman of public relations firm Intangibles. He is an evo with the ability to persuade people to do his bidding.
Character History
Damen Peak, the wealthy chairman of a public relations firm, is in a meeting with Jim and several others. He claims that he has gotten to know Jim closely and all of his dreams and fears. He uses his power of persuasion to make Jim agree with him. They get up and leave the meeting. Damen is seen leaving with someone following him.
Damen is tracked by Joanne Collins because he is a suspected evo. When he leaves his office in his Cadillac CTS, his wife Lilly calls him to ask where he is. He tells her that he will be home soon. When he sees that he is being pursued by another car, he tells his wife that he will call her back. When he sees the other car's driver, Joanne, aim a gun at him, Damen hits the breaks and does a u-turn. Joanne chases Damen into a dead end and gets out of her car to pursue him on foot. He drives past Joanne and goes straight home, where he persuades his wife that someone is trying to kill him, and that they need to leave. However, Joanne arrives before they can, and aims her gun at Damen.
As Damen and Lilly leave the house, he tells her that someone is attempting to kill him. She asks him why as Joanne Collins shows up and claims that it is because he is an evo. She points a gun at them and Damen asks her to stop. He uses his ability of persuasion to try and get her to stop. Damen claims that he is just a human being with a modest talent. He asks Joanne if she has a talent and she replies that she is a good shot. Damen persuades Joanne with his mind to just walk away. Joanne walks away.
Peak has the ability to easily persuade people to do what he says. He used his ability on his wife to quickly persuade her that someone was trying to kill him. Unlike others with this ability, his eyes glow when using it, as well as the eyes of his victims.
