  • I decreased the size of the main picture so the words weren't so cramped on the left side - kcnovA23 (8:53 PM ET 10/23)
  • Since there is an Isaac Mendez page with a section describing paintings, and another page for Isaac's paintings with no text... should all the painting information be moved to the second page, to draw a distinction between the person and the paintings? --Orne 14:38, 7 November 2006 (EST)
    • Good idea. I moved the text into the gallery. Separate text and images seemed kind of redundant.--Hardvice (talk) 15:47, 7 November 2006 (EST)
  • There is extensive information about the comic artist Tim Sale on the full Wikipedia here. Should Tim Sale get his own page here on Heroeswiki, or we provide a link to Wikipedia ? --Orne 14:44, 7 November 2006 (EST)

AWI Agent

Isaac now seems to be working for Mr. Bennet in some fashion. In my original update, I described him as an agent of the AWI. I meant that in a rather generic sense, but I guess that the term implies something more official (in the way James Bond is an agent of MI6). --Ted C 15:53, 8 February 2007 (EST)

  • I'm not quite sure he's an agent, or even that there's any AWI affiliation. He's definitely working with Bennet, but that doesn't mean he works for or with the AWI. It's probable, but I feel we should wait until we have a bit more confirmation on that. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:54, 8 February 2007 (EST)
    • I'm not tied to the word "agent"; I just want to note that an significant association exists. --Ted C 15:58, 8 February 2007 (EST)
      • It's not the term agent with which I take issue, it's the connection at all. I think right now we should leave it as a note on his page, and wait until we see if anything more comes of it. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:59, 8 February 2007 (EST)
        • I think working directly with Bennet is a connection to the AWI (unless he starts peddling paper products :). --Ted C 16:06, 8 February 2007 (EST)
          • I tend to agree. He has as much of a connection to the AWI as some of the others on the template (the Pharmatech stuff, for example -- there's no evidence the AWI didn't just buy an existing item from them. In fact, it kind of implies as much, since the needle was originally used for tracking animals.) Since he's a small-a agent of Mr. Bennet in Mr. Bennet's official capacity with the AWI, I'd even be willing to say he's a small-a agent of the AWI. He's doing work on their behalf (through Bennet) that benefits them. To my mind (which admittedly has been over-conditioned by my employment law class), "agent" just means he's doing their work, not that he's an official employee.--Hardvice (talk) 16:17, 8 February 2007 (EST)
            • Well, I tend to agree that he's working with Mr. Bennet, and I see your point about the AWI being more all-encompassing. I guess you're right, and I need to change my definition of what it means to work for the AWI. I still think it's a bit premature, but I'll give. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:02, 8 February 2007 (EST)

Really?

He is first seen in the future that Hiro travels to in "Don't Look Back", dead after being attacked by Sylar.
He is also seen in Peter's vision, holding Simone back from Peter. Which one is the true future remains unclear.

Does it? I was under the impression that what's holding Simone back these days is a lack of brain activity, but maybe that's just me. I mean, sure, it could be Candace or something, but this whole section reads like a theory in disguise.--Hardvice (talk) 13:31, 16 March 2007 (EDT)

  • Great point. There's just too much we don't know about Peter's visions to know whether or not they're prophetic. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:29, 16 March 2007 (EDT)

I for one don't think that Peter had a vision per se. I think it was a symbolic dream/vision-

  • Simone was going to Peter, but Isaac held her back (Isaac killed her, so now she can never be with Peter)
  • Nathan was standing next to Peter (Nathan will be with Peter in his hour of destruction)
  • Claire was so close to him, but left (Claire was looking for Peter, and is now going to Paris)
  • Cluade was laughing (Cluade laughs because he was helping Peter, but found homor in everyone he hates dying)

and so forth....--Patrick 15:18, 24 April 2007 (EDT)

Bio

Tim Sale's bio on MoCBA does not seem the same to me as Isaac's bio. Compare:

Isaac's Bio

Urged on by his instructor, Dominick Cabalo, Isaac honed his art skills and took various summer classes to help develop his craft. It wasn't until high school when he began winning illustration contests. With even more classes in illustration and comic design courses under his belt, Isaac moved to New York and soon after high school took various courses in college for comic book illustration. It wasn't until the annual New York comic convention that he caught the eye of Camacho Comics and they hired him on the spot. He worked there for 3 years, all the while learning the ins and outs of the business. Then in 2002 he self-published his own line of comics under his old uncle Burk's name - one of the few people in his life who supported his love of comic books.

Tim's Bio

Tim Sale was born in Ithaca, New York, on May 1st, 1956, but grew up in Seattle, Washington.

After studying art at the University of Washington for two years, he moved to New York City and attended the John Buscema Workshop and The School of Visual Arts just long enough to realize he didn't want to be in school anymore, whereupon he returned to Seattle and worked a variety of odd jobs from Taco Time to grocery store clerk.

While keeping his hand lazily in the art world by partnering with his sister, Maggie, in GREY ARCHER PRESS, he didn't return to comics until inking Phil Foglio on Warp Graphics MYTH ADVENTURES in 1983. Tim was hired to pencil, ink and letter THIEVES' WORLD for Donning/Starblaze in 1985, then, after hooking up with agent Mike Friedrich and STAR-REACH, began his mainstream comics career by meeting Matt Wagner, Diana Schutz, and Barbara Randall at the San Diego Comic-Con.

Ms. Randall introduced Tim to Jeph Loeb, and the rest has been downhill ever since.

Tim currently lives with his two dogs, Hotspur and Shelby, in southern California.

Am I missing something? — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:27, 20 March 2007 (EDT)

  • No, you are correct. I had never visited the MoCBA site before and I know I have read it before and going by my all to human and unCharlieesque memory was positive that it was in the bio for the comic.for some reason the Ithaca,NY thing stuck in my head as what triggered the memory. I also should have been more specific as I meant to reference the first paragraph only.

when I have some time I will have to look, because I know I saw it before and am largely positive it was in the show. Even with this glaringly obvious evidence in front of me I have a voice in me saying "no thats not it, the picture is wrong!".

My reference is obviously wrong and I am correcting it until I can find proof otherwise.

Taking that into consideration I am also going to question my memory about reading that some of Issac's life was based on Mr. Sale's until I can sight my sources better.

    • Hey, that's fine, no worries. :) By the way, if you want to, you can always ask Tim yourself. He is very responsive--just post a message on his forum, and he usually gets back to you within 24 hours. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:19, 21 March 2007 (EDT)

Season 2 Entry

Isaac Mendez is quite obviously still important to the series as of Heroes 202: Lizards. Personally, I'm not entirely sure about wording for how to explain that. (Plus, I have a class that should have started five minutes ago.)--Jpatch 12:29, 2 October 2007 (EDT)

  • I would put mentions of him in the Episode pages, and we can add any new paintings to the appropriate pages. I would not update Isaac's page unless he makes a cameo appearance (in a dream, flashback, time-travel incident, or similar event). --Ted C 14:52, 3 October 2007 (EDT)

Issac's ability

Should be noted that Issac has Retrocognition - The ability to see into the past. As he painted Hiro and Adam - dueling in Fuedal Japan.

  • Still precognition, it was Hiro's future. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 20:48, 10 February 2009 (EST)
    • Ahh - So he doesn't Paint future events... He paints people's future or else that theory would contradict each other - Paint someones future, but at a past event, would still count as retrocognition. But since he only paints peoples future... I get it now =] OmniScience 09:48, 12 February 2009 (AEST)

Ted's brother?

  • Someone speculated they were brothers. This suggests that Carlos would have to both the father of both of them. I found this totally unlikely and borderline ridiculous. Any thoughts?--Blood69 20:09, 19 March 2010 (EDT)
    • I don't see why this is ridiculous. I mean, firstly we don't know what kind of person Carlos was, he could have been the kind of guy to sleep around, we don't know. I know I'd never have expected Nathan to be Claire's father, but there you go. --mc_hammark 10:08, 20 March 2010 (EDT)

Pilot Episode

Just watched the pilot episode and noticed that Isaac had cut off his left hand when Peter and Simone found him, which was different to what happened in the first aired episode. Shouldn't this be in the article as part of his bio of trivia?

  • Great find! It's listed on the page about the unaired pilot, which of course, is not a canon source. It's like a deleted scene. It can certainly be mentioned on the notes of this page (but not in any of the main text), if you'd like to add it. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:10, 5 October 2011 (EDT)

9th wonders in Reborn

Man, I wonder what's the plot of 9th wonders. I always thought it was supposed to follow Hiro's adventures, with the last unfinished issue being him trapped in the past, but now in Reborn it's shown that even Tommy and Miko are there. Sandubadear (talk) 16:57, 10 January 2016 (EST)
