Talk:Simone Deveaux

From Heroes Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

On the NBC webpage, her name is listed as Simone Devere. Webmaster typo? ---- Ohmyn0.jpgOhmyn0talk.jpg 21:57, 8 January 2007 (EST)

  • Nevermind, it's only on the mainpage and when you click on her briefcase. ---- Ohmyn0.jpgOhmyn0talk.jpg 21:58, 8 January 2007 (EST)
    • According to Oliver Grigsby, her name was changed from 'Devere' to 'Deveaux' at the last minute so the could have the "Deveaux Society". I'm guessing that's because there's already a "Devere Society". But yeah, there are still a couple places on NBC that call her "Devere".--Hardvice (talk) 22:02, 8 January 2007 (EST)
      • Hardvice, do you have a source for Oliver Grigsby's comment? I added it to Simone's page as a note - an interview link or something would be good. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:11, 8 January 2007 (EST)
        • IIRC, it was a 9th Wonders post. I think there's a link on Deveaux Society.--Hardvice (talk) 22:32, 8 January 2007 (EST)
          • Hmmm. No cite there either, but the post is here.--Hardvice (talk) 22:41, 8 January 2007 (EST)

Death - jumping the gun shark?

While I know we were promised a death, do we want to wait until the next episode to get confirmation on this? Granted, two gunshot wounds to the chest usually guarantee death, I'm just a little hesitant to automatically pronounce her dead immediately after the shooting. Maybe the newest graphic novel will confirm it. --ZyberGoat 22:48, 19 February 2007 (EST)

I thought the same thing but wasn't going to mention it. I'd say there's a 98% chance Simone is dead, but there's always the slight possibility... --Fcphantom 23:30, 19 February 2007 (EST)
I remember an interview suggesting that the actress playing Simone and the actor playing Peter were not getting along, meaning one was going to leave (certainly not Peter since he's what Darwin was talking about (great line by Claude)). Just can't remember the exact source, think that E! chick. Bob
Well, USA Today's running an article that has Tawny Cypress saying her character is dead. While I know we don't consider outside interviews as sources, it's enough for me to drop my quasi-protest. --ZyberGoat 23:35, 19 February 2007 (EST)
Ultimately, until Simone is shown dead, or until someone mentions her death, she needs to be listed as still alive, with her possible death listed in the notes. It's the same with Dr. Witherson -- until we know she's dead, she's not. Everything else is speculation. Simone was still talking in the end of the episode -- even if she does die (which I'm sure she will), it might not be for another few days. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:56, 19 February 2007 (EST)
She is in the vision, and you know those visions have absolutely NO plotholes whatsoever. Bob
I'm betting next week we learn that Peter can one up Claire on the regeneration field. He's an empath and a nurse. He'll kiss Simone and she'll heal up, and the show will officially jump the shark. Didn't take long, did it? Although technically? It jumped the shark when Claire woke up during her autopsy. I mean come on! Those didn't even look like ribs! -- ZachsMind 01:01, 20 February 2007 (EST)
Well, this is the link to the interview: http://www.delawareonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070220/ENTERTAINMENT/70220042 DannyP 20:47, 20 February 2007 (EST)
Thanks, that's good info. I added it to the notes. I'm sure we'll receive confirmation of it soon enough. (Ugh, cliffhangers...) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:03, 20 February 2007 (EST)

02/21 - Feb. 19 is when [Simone] got shot; Mar. 5 is when she dies. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide Via SpoilerFix -Level 11:04, 21 February 2007 (EST)

  • Good stuff. I guess that would explain why she'll be back for at least two more episodes. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:06, 21 February 2007 (EST)

Destruction of The missing painting

  • I thought that the painting was destroyed at Simone's Gallery, not at Isaac's loft. When Nathan spoke to Linderman about getting the painting he said "directly to the gallery" --Jebriggs98 16:25, 23 February 2007 (EST)
    • True, but when it actually shows up, they're rather inexplicably in Isaac's loft. You can see the explosion painting on the floor.--Hardvice (talk) 18:22, 23 February 2007 (EST)
    • Thanks. I took a look at the scene again. The space looks so different with the majority of Isaac's artwork gone, but I did see the painting on the floor.--Jebriggs98 18:50, 23 February 2007 (EST)
      • My guess is they didn't want to have to build another set for that one scene. It would've been cool to see the Deveaux Gallery, though, right? — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:44, 23 February 2007 (EST)

Simone's appearance in Exploding Man

Do we want to define this experience of Peter's meeting with Simone and Charles as a dream. There's still a lot of debate about Peter's dreams. Would it be better to leave this as, "Peter Witnesses a possible past" ? --LordAndrei 15:25, 24 February 2007 (PST)

  • It was most definitely a dream. Peter has had numerous dreams before. Notice how he blacked out and how he woke up.--Ice Vision 18:49, 24 May 2007 (EDT)
  • Whether it was a possible past or an actual past, the fact is it was experienced through a dream, similar to Peter's other dreams. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:36, 24 May 2007 (EDT)

Archiving Season One

  • Unless Simone shows up in Season Two, I'm not sure we really benefit by archiving and summarizing her season one history. Ditto most other season-one-only characters.--Hardvice (talk) 18:35, 20 September 2007 (EDT)
    • I could go either way on this one. On one hand one main purpose of the archiving was to keep the page from getting too large as we entered season two. If an entity won't be in season two the page won't grow much naturally. Plus it will more closely resemble the pages for season two entities which will have per-episode summaries. On the other hand I think it's nice to have a season summary for each entity with a link to the per-episode information. This allows people to get a concise summary of the entities role in a particular season without having to go through all the details. I'll sit on this fence here for now. (Admin 18:46, 20 September 2007 (EDT))
      • I honestly don't care one way or another. I see benefits to leaving the detailed summary intact, and benefits to archiving the season one history. Whatever somebody decides in cases like these is fine with me. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:24, 20 September 2007 (EDT)

Appearance in Fallout

Since we're including appearances in dreams (such as Sylar in Molly's Dream, and Charles in How to Stop an Exploding Man), shouldn't there be a section for Simone in Fallout during Peter's dream? --DocM 22:07, 23 March 2008 (EDT)

Wow

I can't believe she appeared again. It was kinda mind-blowing; so was seeing Barbara, by the way. Anyway, does this mean that the note about her not being alluded to after Vol. 1 should be removed? Or just reworded? --Skullman1392 17:01, 11 May 2010 (EDT)
