Beginning December 10, 2007, the "Who is Richard Drucker?" page at NBC.com was updated:
As of 12/10/07, Drucker has not yet responded... or has he?
The link directs to a thread at 9thwonders.com, titled "A new Announcement, We Received a Mysterious letter...", which includes a link to a mysterious document under the cogitoergosum blog. ( Cogito ergo sum translates to "I think, therefor I am.")
In My Heart...
The cogitoergosum blog's first post is dated December 05, 04:37 PM. Titled "In my heart...", the letter says:

Cogitoergosum was updated December 19, 2007, at 04:08 PM with a riddle. It reads:
The playwright William Congreve said that "music has charms to soothe a savage breast. To soften rocks or bend a knotted oak." I myself was once tamed a long time ago. My favorite things are still in this past even as I'm being drawn to the present.

Initial messages and identity revealed
On March 10, 2008, an individual began sending emails and text messages to Hana Gitelman's contacts. Their messages contained clues to their identity, telling Hana's contactes to discern their identity by decoding things found at activatingevolution.org. Eventually, on March 26, 2008 the individual messaged Hanna's contacts, telling them that they had discovered their identity, a 9thwonders.com user by the screen name Evsdropr.

Evsdropr: My name is evs.
Donna: Who?
Evsdropr: Evsdropr. This is not game. This is a set up. The man across from you is a killer.
Donna: What?!
Evsdropr: You're going to tell him there's a family emergency. Then, you are going to leave.
Donna: Okay, I'll be right over, give everybody my best.
Evsdropr: Wait, one more thing.
Donna: What is it?
Evsdropr: Look under the table. I've taped a gun under your table. Take it. Hopefully you won't need it.
Donna: Alright, I'm leaving right now. I'll be there as soon as possible.
