Odessa, TX is a city in western Texas, just east of the panhandle, with a population of about one hundred thousand. It is half of the Midland-Odessa metroplex. Odessa is the home of Claire Bennet.

- Odessa is also the setting for the book and film Friday Night Lights, which has been adapted as an NBC series and premiered as part of the fall 2006 schedule alongside Heroes (although the series itself is no longer set in Odessa).
- Odessa's twin city, Midland, gained national attention in 1987 when 18-month old Jessica McClure fell down a well and was rescued after more than fifty hours.
