Erlene Garcia is the actress who portrays a psychic carny.
Chosen by a photograph to work on Heroes, Erlene was a "regular carny" on the show for six months. As a child, Erlene was entered in a number of state beauty pageants, often competing against her sisters. In one Arizona state pageant, Erlene took home two trophies, "Miss Congenality" and "Best Costume" (for a costume she designed to represent the state of Arizona, which was a Native American dress decorated with feathers, vintage beadwork, and traditional bells).
During the 1980s, Erlene's father drove the family to California where Erlene became involved in the entertainment business. She was featured as a hairstylist standing with Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer on Scarface, was a featured student for three years on Fame, was a photo double for Stephanie Kramer on Hunter, and was on many other shows. Erlene (and Eva Hayes) designed many of the props for The Scorpion King, some of which were featured with the action figure toys, on the movie poster, in the comic book, and in the music video.
Erlene is also an accomplished artist, having entered (and won) many American Indian art contests (sometimes competing against her sisters. Owners of her artwork include Pink, William Shatner, Sam Elliott, and Ronald Reagan.
- Erlene's father is Mexican and Italian. Her mother is Irish, English, Spanish, Chickasaw, and Mission Indian.
- Erlene was raised in Oklahoma and has lived all over the Midwest.
