Hobo Colossus!

Danny Pine was captured by Thompson and Meredith Gordon.

They approach him by pretending to be interested in helping war veterans. This implies he and some of the other folks in the homeless camp are war veterans come upon hard times.

Unfortunately for the agents, their cover is blown by the fact that another person had arrived previously under the same pretense.

Pine becomes suspicious and proceeds to transmute his arm into metal, attacking Thompson.

After he transmutes his arm into metal and whacks Thompson on the head, Meredith shoots his arm with fire, apparently heating it up. This seemed to bother him. She then tasers him into submission. —Dumpster juice 23:08, 10 November 2008 (EST)

Level 5?

Was Pine taken to Level 5? I know Flint was nearby, and he was (later) in Level 5, so I'd assume he was, but was it the right set?

If he was, then we should probably assume that he escaped, like we do for Echo and Howard Grigsby. Unless, of course, there is some interview or something I'm not taking into account.--Tim Thomason 19:18, 12 November 2008 (EST)

Remember that Flint escaped. He probably wasn't held in such a high-security cell when he was first brought into the Company, but was probably recaptured after managing to escape again. Besides, Danny Pine really doesn't seem that dangerous that he'd have to be kept in level 5. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 19:21, 12 November 2008 (EST)

It looks like he was just held on one of the higher levels. He doesn't seem that dangerous, really. Plus, it did not look like Level 5. --Golden Monkey 09:40, 13 November 2008 (EST)

Can we say for sure he's dead?

All we know is he's missing an arm. --Stevehim 06:13, 16 December 2008 (EST)

  • Unless he was brought to medical care immediately, he probably bled to death.--Riddler 07:22, 16 December 2008 (EST)
  • Maybe Sylar took his ability of melatic skin
    • No proof of that yet. --Ricard Desi 12:56, 16 December 2008 (EST)
  • Do you really think Sylar wil let go an ability
    • If he doesn't have the time to collect it, what if someone shot him in the back of the head when he was examining a brain? Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 14:43, 16 December 2008 (EST)
  • He probably bled to death unless he is able to seal a wound with his metallic skin power. Bloodbath 18:33, 16 December 2008 (EST)
    • And before getting that power? Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 19:03, 16 December 2008 (EST)
      • I think he might've meant Danny. If he has the ability to form metal anywhere on his body, then he could've survived by doing so over the wound. My main point is that if we weren't willing to declare Elle dead when we saw Sylar slice her head, then seeing Danny's arm shouldn't be enough to declare him dead either (unless we revise his ability to only allow metal to form around his hand and upper arm, since that's all we've seen it do). --Stevehim 02:05, 17 December 2008 (EST)
        • I don't think he can simply create metal, only convert his tissue in metal, he wouldn't be able to close a whole with this ability, only turn the thing which has a hole into metal. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 09:23, 17 December 2008 (EST)
          • Whether he can seal a wound with metal or not (I doubt he can since only part of his arm turned metal, never the whole thing), that's speculative. Even if he could seal a wound with metal, we still have no idea if he died or not. It's not confirmed in any sources (in-world or out-of-world) that I know of. Even if it's completely "obvious" that he died, it's not confirmed. Until it's confirmed, it's speculative. We need to add what we know--that he had his arm ripped off and that the building in which he was last seen was ablaze. We can't say that he's dead--that's a leap of logic. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 09:50, 17 December 2008 (EST)
            • BEHIND THE ECLIPSE: Week 16-- “The second thing is actually very similar, this time involving Danny Pine. We see Pine’s severed arm, but did Sylar also kill him and take his ability too? Or was Sylar preoccupied with his plan at Primatech? Or did Pine manage to escape? Pine is dead. That we can assure you of." --Mike the Man-child!
