Character History

Genesis

After returning home from a small comic convention in New York, John begins falling in trances and seeing things that occur a few hours later, and soon deduces that he can see the future. He decides to test his new-found ability and uses a pencil and paper to record his predictions. He draws a man whom he recognizes as Isaac Mendez, an artist he met at the convention. In the drawing, Isaac is answering a phone with an expression of anger on his face. John wants to find out more about this strange ability and decides to leave for New York.

Don't Look Back

John visits the bank in the morning to withdraw some money for his trip to New York. As he exits the bank with a bag full of cash, he passes by the local high school and gawks at a disturbingly ugly girl. He can't believe what he sees and after blinking a few times, John just sees a hot woman walking down the road. Thinking that he just witnessed something unbelievable, he decides to put his belief to the test and concentrates hard on changing his body. After a few more attempts, John doesn't feel any differently and decides to go back home and draw more before leaving the state.

People stare and gawk at John the whole way but he fails to notice this. When he arrives home, John looks at himself in the mirror and notices a third eye on his forehead. Overwhelmed, John changes to his original form and passes out.

One Giant Leap

At Miami International Airport, John tricks a clerk into selling him a plane ticket by turning into an adult and showing him an illusionized passport and ID. A few hours into flight, the captain announces an emergency landing in Las Vegas. John angrily gets off the plane and sees a Japanese man entering a Hotspur Car Rental with another Japanese man. Deciding to get to his destination on road, John follows the men into the rental and checks out a catalogue. John chooses the Nissan Versa but watches as the Japanese duo rents the last one. John ends up renting a Nissan Rogue instead. Since John didn't know how to get to New York, he decided to follow the men, who appeared to be going there.

Collision

John hangs out at a casino, waiting for the Japanese men to get on the road again. While he's there, John sees a gorgeous woman and makes a few hundred dollars using his ability to see the future. Before deciding to leave after waiting too long, John points a man out to some guys in grey suits.

After falling asleep in a hotel, John wakes up a few hours later and finds himself in New York City. Wondering when he got the ability to teleport, John wanders around the streets and spots a newspaper with the date November 8 2006. Puzzled and overwhelmed at the same time, he begins to wonder how he could have obtained the ability to travel through time. Ignoring the date, John decides to visit Isaac Mendez at his loft. Without knocking, John bursts into the loft and calls out for the artist. After no response, John begins checking out the loft and spots Isaac's corpse with the top of his head sawed off.

Hiros

Scared and nauseous, John leaves the loft and sees Japanese man named Hiro approaching the door to the loft. Hiro looked as confused and out-of-place as he did so John deduced that he got this amazing power from him. John decides to leave the complex right away but not before reporting a murder at the hands of a Japanese guy as revenge for renting the last Nissan Versa.

John hangs out in NYC for a few more hours and suddenly hears an explosion coming from nearby. John gets tired of this future and goes back in time with success.

Better Halves

John calls Homeland Security and is about to tell them about the explosion when suddenly, a man in horn rimmed glasses and a Haitian guy burst into the hotel room. Scared as hell, John tries to escape. He manages to escape but is caught by The Haitian within minutes.

John wakes up in a holding cell and the man in glasses tells him to use his powers of precognition to find out where a politician is. After drawing a series of future events with no politician, the man tells his partner to erase John's memory of them. He then calls a woman and tells her to bring in the precog.

Nothing to Hide

John wakes up in the car without remembering the previous day's events. Ignoring this, he continues his road trip to NYC and in the hurry, he accidentally hits another car and starts a fire. John tries to teleport but he can't and he continue driving as fast as he can when he sees two cars arrive behind him. He could have sworn he saw Hiro getting out of the second car. Later on, John thinks about his future while driving and accidentally teleports into the future.

Graphic Novel:Quarantine

John arrives to the year 2008 and feels his powers going away. He tries to go back but he can't so he walks into a gas station and sees a man holding a shotgun. The man asks if John is clean but John doesn't understand and the man shoots him just as a car arrives at the gas station.
