The 2007 Writers Guild of America strike has affected the production of Heroes and Heroes: Origins.

About

Negotiations between the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers broke down when the AMPTP could not agree to the WGA's demand for royalties in new media products. On November 5, 2007, at 12:01AM, the Writers Guild went on strike and began picketing in the streets, refusing to write any scripts for their teleivision series.

Resulting from this, an alternate ending for the season two episode "Powerless" has been filmed, and Heroes: Origins has been put on hold until after the strike is over.
