Welcome to Heroes Wiki!
Here are a few links to get you started:
- If you are new to Heroes, you might want to start at the New User Portal.
- If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
- If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style.
- If you're ready to get started, Template:Todo lists some ways you can help out.
- Of course, if you have your own idea for a new article, that's great, too.
- Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
- To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the Summary field before you save your changes.
- You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
- When posting on an article's Talk page you should add --~~~~ or click the signature button.
- This will add a signature and timestamp to the end of your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
- Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
- When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
- If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for an administrator.
- You can also customize your user page if you like.
Once again, welcome to Heroes Wiki!
User page
It looks like you're off to a good start on your user page.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:54, 14 November 2008 (EST)
- Thanks, hopefully it will get better and better.--Tristan0709 02:08, 14 November 2008 (EST)
- You're welcome. Here's a tip: When you add a comment to a talk page, such as this one, you can put one or more * characters before the comment to indent it, and to denote a new line.--MiamiVolts (talk) 02:16, 14 November 2008 (EST)
- Ahh, I was wondering how to do that but wasn't sure how. Thanks for the help. Tristan0709 02:18, 14 November 2008 (EST)

user subpages
- There's a few ways to create a page for yourself. Bottom line is you want to create a red link, then click it, then begin editing. Typing the name of your article in the search bar is the easiest. For instance, type "User:Tristan0709/ARTICLETITLE" in the search bar. (Don't forget, it should be your user name, a forward slash, then the title of your article.) Then, click the red link that is created at the top of the page, and begin editing. Another way is to create a red link on your own user page, then click that red link. Check out Help:Editing#Adding New Pages, too. Let me know if you need more direction. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 06:59, 21 November 2008 (EST)
Podcasts
See Template:Podcasts. They're also found on the links page. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:45, 22 November 2008 (EST)
- Thanks. i was actually planning on making one like the one found on lostpedia, with descriptions and fancy stuff like that :). - Tristan0709 01:48, 22 November 2008 (EST)
Hey
No worries, glad I could help. Thanks for pointing that out on my subpage as well. The rule I generally go by for doing appearances, is if a character is seen speaking, interacting, etc. with any other characters that have appeared in the graphic novel, I consider adding him/her. :) Radicell 04:42, 2 December 2008 (EST)
Permision to improve subpages?
I see you have quite a few nifty subpages. Would I have permission to improve some of the ones that you do not have described as "contributions welcome" if I think improvements can be made? --SacValleyDweller (talk) 23:09, 23 January 2009 (EST)
- Sure, that'd be great! I'd love some contributions on Interactions, Team-ups, and Abilities, and you can work on that template idea is started on if you'd like as well. Thankyou! -- Tristan0709 talk 03:59, 25 January 2009 (EST)
Hiro and Ando's lair
Thanks for the heads up. I'm kinda new here and that page was my first one that I did. I'll keep your advice and such in mind the next time I do up a page.
Heroes Aus
Has Seven broadcasted Heroes yet?--Steelymcbeam 06:47, 12 February 2009 (EST)
- Volume Four? No. Volume Three began airing early October, ran until The Eclipse, Part 2, then showed Our Father and Dual in the middle of January. No news on Volume Four yet. -- Tristan0709 talk 23:51, 12 February 2009 (EST)
Isaac's art
Hey, Tristan. I left a comment at Talk:Isaac's art#Why was this moved?. Thanks! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:38, 13 February 2009 (EST)
- Hey. Check for reply there. Sorry for the inconvenience. :) -- Tristan0709 talk 02:39, 13 February 2009 (EST)
- No, no worries. Just trying to have a discussion to make sure I'm not missing anything. You're doing fine! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:42, 13 February 2009 (EST)

Theories
Please stop deleting other peoples theories from the theories section. ( Talk To Jakk55 ) 14:28, 23 February 2009 (EST)
- First of all, the theory was not mine and I merely restored it after you deleted it. Second, You do not have "every right" to "delete theories that are not plausible or are ridiculous", according to this wikia's policy:
"Do not remove information from the theory articles merely because you personally disagree with it or do not believe a theory is plausible. Theory articles are a report of existing fan theories, not an endorsement or critique of any given theory." "Do not remove theories unless they are conclusively disproved by a canon source. Only aired episodes and released graphic novels count as canon sources. Interviews, articles, spoilers, previews, and unaired episodes are not canon sources. Additionally, no spoilers belong on any pages other than spoilers pages. See Help:Sources for more on using different sources." Please refer to wikia policy before deleting others work. Danger
Hey mate. Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you, I lost my Heroes Wiki password and my email password, so was locked out for a while. Feel free to work on Danger; I'm really busy at the moment so I doubt I will be! :)--IotV 07:17, 24 February 2009 (EST)
Patrolling
Hey, Tristan. How would you like to be a patroller here? Take a look at Heroes Wiki:Patrollers and see if it's something you'd like to do. If so, reply back to my talk page. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:51, 11 March 2009 (EDT)
- Great! You're in! Heroes Wiki:Patrollers has great tips, etc. Don't forget to add your name to the page. Try patrolling some unpatrolled edits. Let me know if you have any questions. If I'm not around, feel free to ask one of the patrollers who has been doing it a bit longer, or leave a message at Heroes Wiki talk:Patrollers (which is a page I suggest you add to your watchlist). Congrats! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:25, 12 March 2009 (EDT)
- Thanks! Quick question, have just started exterminating red links. If I wanted to make a spoiler page for Volume Five, what template would I use? -- Tristan0709 talk 01:30, 12 March 2009 (EDT)
- We've been putting information about volumes on season pages. So the Volume Five information would belong on a page about Season Four. A season page can be made before the season starts. See here to see what that page should look like prior to the start of the season. Other than that, published spoilers should go on Spoiler:Heroes. The Season Four page should have a {{spoiler}} link on it, and Spoiler:Season Four should redirect to Spoiler:Heroes. Does that all make sense? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:38, 12 March 2009 (EDT)
- Uh-huh. So, best to hold off on making the article now, and wait till closer to end of season, you think? -- Tristan0709 talk 01:44, 12 March 2009 (EDT)
- Nope, there's nothing wrong with making the page right now. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:47, 12 March 2009 (EDT)
- Cool, I'll go ahead and do it. The less red links, the better! -- Tristan0709 talk 01:50, 12 March 2009 (EDT)
- Totally agree...so long as the new pages are quality pages and not things that we'll have to go back and fix up later on. It's much easier to have a red link reminding you of a page that needs attention than to have a stub reminding you to fix it up. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:28, 12 March 2009 (EDT)

- Thanks! LOL, it's going pretty good. I haven't been able to work out how to patrol the first edit of a new page, but I'm sure I'll work it out eventually. Going good, I guess... :) -- Tristan0709 talk 03:56, 13 March 2009 (EDT)

Barbie
I found a couple of images that you could use for your Barbie article:
- Eerily Realistic Barbie for MAC, but a perfect contender
- Slightly close to Hayden, but maybe it's just from the hair?
- My personal favourite. I really hate Barbie but I must admit, she looks so elegant here.
- A slightly more modern looking Barbie.
- Closer to Claire's sense of dress I suppose?
Any of them useful? -- Bonchilla 06:56, 13 March 2009 (EDT)
- In the first picture, I don't think either of those are Barbies, but models made to look like Barbies. What's wrong with the cheerleader Barbie? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:59, 14 March 2009 (EDT)
- Absolutely nothing. I never came across cheerleader barbie when I hit her up on the search engine until I checked out her page here instead. The colour scheme of her outfit is too good to be true by the way! -- Bonchilla 01:34, 26 March 2009 EDT
Matt's precognition
It's cool you reverted the change, I understand where you're coming from. However though, on Matt's page, he is listed as having two abilities, and in his Abilities sub-section (as of the date of this comment) he is identified as "the first known evolved human to have delevoped more than one ability". I was only aiming for consistency among the articles; sorry for the inconvenience. Kudos on the quick response, though -- it's good to see a community with so much vigilance. Thanks! --Telepathic Mimic 02:18, 20 March 2009 (EDT)
- I'm sorry -- I wasn't aware of the changes to the Matt article. I've edited the discussion there, ofter we wait for some consistency, your edits may be added back in. Apologies, I'm fairly sure this had already been solved, but apparently not. And thankyou. -- Tristan0709 talk 02:23, 20 March 2009 (EDT)
Hey mate
Just wondering if you knew whether or not Channel 7 is going to broadcast the latest volume of Heroes. There's been no sight of it yet, and they've stopped updating their site. I'm doubting whether they'll show it, so have you heard anything?--Steely McBeam - (talk) 03:27, 21 March 2009 (EDT)
- I honestly have no idea. Was bored out of my brain at my grandma's house the other day, and read the TV Week. Apparently Seven still own the rights to it, but have no immediate plans to air it. I can see it being aired in Lost's timeslot when it is over, but other than that I'm not sure. Sorry! -- Tristan0709 talk 03:31, 21 March 2009 (EDT)
Light absorbtion
I believe it just came out in the Istory, check the checklist :) Thanks --IronyUTC CH 03:18, 26 March 2009 (EDT)
