Oh. Well, that's stupid. Thanks, anyways.
Hey, Error. Welcome to the wiki! Just a quick tip for you about talk page etiquette, to go along with your great edits elsewhere. It's really not necessary to correct the grammar, punctuation, capitalization, etc. of other users on talk pages. In fact--and I don't mean this as a criticism, just as something to watch out for--some of your corrections are actually turning correct things and making them incorrect. Not a big deal overall, but it's probably best just not to edit other peoples' comments. Thanks for understanding! :) -- 22:21, 29 May 2009 (EDT)

Sure, okay. Sorry. I just can't help it. But what's etiquette? Is that when you edit other people's stuff? And how do you know it's me?--ERROR 09:52, 30 May 2009 (EDT)
Is this the cause of my other problem, too?--ERROR 11:54, 20 June 2009 (EDT)

* Yes it is, if you don't have what is written in the template it won't work. Sorry. -- 11:58, 20 June 2009 (EDT)
By "they," you mean "we," right? If so, I understand completely.

Dangit! And I thought we were prone to using "ability," not "power." Oh, well.--ERROR 12:04, 20 June 2009 (EDT)
But how is my corrections turning correct things into incorrect things?
* Well that's a whole different discussion lol. It really depends on the person as to whether they prefer ability or power (as tbh I don't see the difference) and on the wiki as a whole, ability and power are both used frequently and everyone knows what they relate to. Thought I know what you mean, but to change the template now would mean every user with an infobox would need to change their infobox, though I could add the code to allow you to use abilities (I will have to check with an admin). But I think the problem is the userbox would have been the first thing they created and power would have been before abilities, hence why character pages have known abilities. -- 12:10, 20 June 2009 (EDT)

And what's an administrator?--ERROR 16:04, 1 June 2009 (EDT)
Alright, that's fine. It's not that big a deal, so if I can't do anything about it, that's fine.--ERROR 12:13, 20 June 2009 (EDT)
** An administrator is the people in charge of looking after the whole website, there are 5 currently with Admin being the one who is in charge, as he created the website. Also some people may be annoyed if you correct their spelling and punctuation. -- 14:28, 5 June 2009 (EDT)

Assignment Trackers
I realize that editing bothers people... If it didn't, I would fix YOUR spelling error (Ah, what the heck. But that's the last time, I promise!). You said nothing new, nothing that helps me (In that regard, anyways. You told me what an administrator is - though I expected being an administrator automatically gives you some form of authority. Does it?).
I've started a few Assignment Trackers, and would like help finishing/editing them due to several reasons, among them being not understanding some of the terms, such as "complexion."--ERROR 09:31, 4 June 2009 (EDT)

Warning
*For example, the following is correct:
Usutu's girlfriend has found two rabbits... she thinks they're really cool.
*This, however, is incorrect:
Usutu's girlfriend has found two rabbits... She thinks they're really cool.
*As you can see, the "she thinks they're really cool" part isn't its own sentence, so doesn't get capitalized. You did this sort of "correcting" on the page that Ryan linked to above, which is probably what Ryan means when he says you're making things incorrect. --Radicell 12:33, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
Ohhh... didn't know that. :)--ERROR 16:46, 6 June 2009 (EDT)

Hi, ERROR. I have not been on the wiki at all today, so this is the first time I am coming across some issues that happened today, and I am seeing them all at the same time. I hope you can take what I say in a spirit of me helping and aiding (and warning), and not in a spirit of being critical or mean or anything like that. I have asked you previously to not edit the comments others make on talk pages as it is poor etiquette, and you have on occasion actually changed correct things to make them incorrect. Even after you promised to not do this anymore, you continued, and you continued to make mistakes here and there in your attempt to correct.
Assignment Trackers
I've started a few Assignment Trackers, and would like help finishing/editing them. I would also like suggestions for other Assignment Trackers.--ERROR 09:31, 4 June 2009 (EDT)
I understand that there was some kind of issue with you and Danko and moving a page in his namespace. Honestly, I'm not very concerned about that, and it's not an issue I want to get into at all, other than to say that I don't want to discuss it. It's your tone that I want to address and that I'm very concerned about. No matter how annoyed you are with somebody, it's just not nice to call them annoying, especially when it seems unprovoked (as far as I can tell). But provoked or not, it's not appreciated.

It's similar with the issue of changing links--it's not necessarily wrong to make pipe redirects to link directly to the pagename, but it's definitely not necessary. When I first started, I actually did the same thing, in an attempt to "clean" the site, or at least doing what I thought was correct. Again, that's not the issue--it's the way you handled yourself following the issue. When I was informed by an administrator that what I was doing was unnecessary, my reaction was something along the lines of, "Oh, thanks for letting me know!" Your reaction after being politely called out on the issue was to be very defensive and, frankly, quite rude.

Finally, removing discussions from talk pages, especially warnings like this, is highly frowned upon. I am going to ask you to please check your attitude, stop some of your rude behaviors, and watch your tone. I think you're a fine editor on the wiki, and I'd like you to stick around--I really don't want to have to take administrative action. Thank you for understanding. :) -- 19:33, 11 June 2009 (EDT)

Alright, fine. I'll stop.

Just one question: What is so wrong with removing redirects, and instead making the links go right to the page? If it's unnecessary to do it, why are you making a whole paragraph on asking me not to do it? (I'm not trying to be rude here, if that's your interpretation; I'm just trying to understand. I don't see what's wrong with it. I'm just trying to help...)--ERROR 20:01, 11 June 2009 (EDT)
* I never said anything was wrong with it. It's just not necessary. One of the purpose of redirects is to make a naturally flowing article. It's also a lot easier to read when in editing mode. Using redirects also decreases the amount of bytes that need to be stored on the page. And if we were to for some reason standardize the entire site to use no redirects as links, not only would it take a long time to make that transition (and heaven forbid we ever move an article!), but all those unnecessary changes would need to be patrolled by our already hard-working and overtaxed patrollers. :) -- 22:51, 11 June 2009 (EDT)

Oh. Okay, that makes sense now. I'll still do it from time to time, though.--ERROR 10:41, 12 June 2009 (EDT)
* I'm not sure why you are continuing to make edits to the comments others put on talk pages, like here and here. It seems like you are deliberately trying to go against the advice given to you. If people want to use poor grammar and lowercase letters in their discussions, they have every right to. In fact, changing their writing borders on putting words in others' mouths. It's just not cool, and I'm getting the feeling that you're being purposefully defiant. <p> Not only that, there is no such word as "signyour", "commente" or "poste". Unsigned comments do not need to be labeled as such. You can 1) sign the post for the person, 2) explain to the person who didn't sign how they can do a signature, or 3) leave the whole thing alone. -- 14:10, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

Just my way of telling people to sign their comments. But if you want me to stop, I will.

So, no editing people's comments, no being rude, and no labeling anonymous posts (I know, you call them "comments," but I'm used to calling them "posts."). I'll try. Doesn't SOUND difficult...
* You can call them "posts" or "comments", but "poste" and "commente" are not words. Also, the people who didn't sign their names at the end of the posts generally don't go back and reread their posts months later, and don't know that your addition of "Signyour poste" is directed at them. The best way to take care of that is if you see somebody who didn't sign their name in the past few days, either sign it for them (check the history of the page to see whose comment it is), and then politely explain the process to them on their talk page (like here). Hope that helps. :) -- 17:08, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

Also, somebody said "You should archive rather than delete" in response to my saying I'm deleting a section, but did not elaborate. Do you know what they mean by "archive?"--ERROR 15:53, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

Hi error, if you feel you have too many posts etc. on your talk page you can archive, this means you store previous versions of your talk page so they are not lost only moved, Got it?-- 15:58, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

Oh, thanks. But when I say "delete," I mean "delete."--ERROR 16:00, 12 June 2009 (EDT)
* At heroes wiki we like to keep all talk pages for reference, to archive you create a separate page and move all the talk page to that page and then link from the old page to the new page i.e. on my talk page I have a link at the top for my archives which then links to the archived pages here which have separate links to each of my archived pages, this for example. Mine is done complicated but other people have different ways of doing it. -- 16:06, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

I don't mean to be rude, but I don't really care how <i>you</i> guys do it. This is how I want to do it - eliminate sections of my talk page that have no use to me, or anybody else.

...But now that you've brought that up, this section has use.--ERROR 16:10, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

Well, I fixed one thing...
Fixed Imprinting. Thanks for pointing it out. Apparently, I had {} around my name instead of []. Who knew?

Thanks for pointing out the Explosion Future, too. 1 unanswered question down, over 1 million to go. Most having to do with abilities, their sources, their homology, and (especially) their LIMITS (for instance, if Telekinesis was at full power for Sylar, he should be able, theoretically, to stop the vibration of atoms, bringing solids to Absolute Zero and destroying the world or ending world hunger. Or something.

Finally, I have a story behind Wind Amplification (link coming soon!!!). I'll post it in my User Page, when I get the time.

Thank you again!

Uncanny474, the Amazing (Lie to me)

You're very welcome. :)--ERROR 21:32, 18 June 2009 (EDT)

Also, "solving world hunger?" I don't think TK could do THAT.--ERROR 11:40, 20 June 2009 (EDT)

Block
ERROR, I am blocking you because I find your tone intimidating and quite rude. You have been warned on more than one occasion to watch your tone, and you seem to ignore or forget about previous warnings. In just the past two or three days, you have changed others' talk pages--which isn't a big deal in and of itself, but considering you were asked not to, promised not to, and then did it anyway, I think that's pretty lousy of you. (See here and here for examples.) You also changed somebody else's user page which is really pretty poor etiquette (see here), but not only did you change the page, but you changed content and changed redirect links (which you also said you wouldn't do anymore). You also continue to ignore grammar rules you have been told about (see here). Ultimately, I think you are just plain rude to other people (see here), which is the real reason I am blocking you; the rest is secondary. -- 23:39, 22 June 2009 (EDT)

Assistance, Please!
Hi there, I noticed you seem to be changing links to go straight to a page instead of using a redirect, there is nothing wrong with this but there are hundreds of them on this site so it may take you a while, just thought I would give you a warning as too how many links you would need to change. -- 16:11, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
Seeing that I have no HeroesWiki-compatible means of storing and uploading images (JPEG and such), I require assistance with getting pictures on my subpages. No need for you to supply that assistance, but it would be appreciated if you would. Any help with other facets of my subpages (removing outdated info, etc.) would also be appreciated.--ERROR 19:32, 7 December 2009 (EST)
*I'm not searching them out, just making those changes when I get the opportunity. Thanks for the heads-up, though.--ERROR 16:47, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
** You do know you don't have too? Also why do you keep changing power to ability? -- 17:05, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
***To keep the site sounding professional. And I do both of those because I want to. Why do you have a problem with that? You said there's nothing wrong with it. I feel like you're starting to yell at me here.--ERROR 17:21, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
**** Sorry, I didn't realise my tone was starting to sound like I was yelling at you. I was just simply inquiring as to why you were doing it, I was not in any way yelling at you. -- 17:29, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
That's all right. By the way, you misspelled "realize," and by "too," you mean "to," I hope. I also put a space between "any" and "way," as you missed it. Hope you don't mind.

Discussion Pages
Just being helpful. Not trying to be an English teacher. :)--ERROR 18:19, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
* Just a note, but you have said that Laughingdevilboy was being rude by "starting to yell at" you. I would just be careful, for example, LaughingDevilBoy may have spelt some words wrong, but that is depending on a few things (1) in English realize is spelt realise, so it is spelt right, depending on where you live. Also, I can understand if you want to keep your talkpage nice, by correcting spellings, but please do not wave it in a person's face, if you want to, I would do it quietly, to keep things civil. Many thanks. -- 18:26, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
If you want to yell at me for correcting spelling, then use correct spelling yourself (And yes, I corrected it)!--ERROR 18:29, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
* Actually spelt is the correct form of the verb to use as it is the past tense of to spell. I don't mind you correcting anyone, but you were quite rude to Laughingdevilboy (and to me, as well), it would be better to remain civil. Also, I am not shouting at you, I am just suggesting to stop being so brash about it. -- 18:36, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
Last I checked, the past tense of "spell" is "spelled." Guess my parents were wrong...

Hi Error, recently you removed a piece of discussion from the telepathy talk page. I put it back on it and just want to let you know that you're not supposed to remove anything from talk pages even if you wrote it yourself. Thanks. --mc_hammark 07:38, 16 January 2010 (EST)
And I'm sorry. I just have this horrible tendency to act real defensive at the slightest provocation. I don't think horribly of either of you. And are you guys done with this section? I'd like it (And the etiquette section) gone from this page.--ERROR 18:44, 6 June 2009 (EDT)

* Thanks, you should archive rather than delete :) -- 18:47, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
All right. I don't know or care why, but all right.--ERROR 11:50, 16 January 2010 (EST)

Hi, ERROR. I have not been on the wiki at all today, so this is the first time I am coming across some issues that happened today, and I am seeing them all at the same time. I think you're a fine editor on the wiki, and I'd like you to stick around--I really don't want to have to take administrative action. Thank you for understanding. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:33, 11 June 2009 (EDT)

  • I never said anything was wrong with it. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:51, 11 June 2009 (EDT)

Oh. Okay, that makes sense now. I'll still do it from time to time, though.--ERROR 10:41, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

  • I'm not sure why you are continuing to make edits to the comments others put on talk pages, like here and here.

Not only that, there is no such word as "signyour", "commente" or "poste". Unsigned comments do not need to be labeled as such. You can 1) sign the post for the person, 2) explain to the person who didn't sign how they can do a signature, or 3) leave the whole thing alone. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:10, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

Just my way of telling people to sign their comments. But if you want me to stop, I will.

So, no editing people's comments, no being rude, and no labeling anonymous posts (I know, you call them "comments," but I'm used to calling them "posts."). I'll try. Doesn't SOUND difficult...

  • You can call them "posts" or "comments", but "poste" and "commente" are not words. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:08, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

Also, somebody said "You should archive rather than delete" in response to my saying I'm deleting a section, but did not elaborate. Do you know what they mean by "archive?"--ERROR 15:53, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

Hi error, if you feel you have too many posts etc. on your talk page you can archive, this means you store previous versions of your talk page so they are not lost only moved, Got it?-- By Danko CH 15:58, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

Oh, thanks. But when I say "delete," I mean "delete."--ERROR 16:00, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

  • At heroes wiki we like to keep all talk pages for reference, to archive you create a separate page and move all the talk page to that page and then link from the old page to the new page i.e. on my talk page I have a link at the top for my archives which then links to the archived pages here which have separate links to each of my archived pages, this for example. Mine is done complicated but other people have different ways of doing it. --posted by Laughingdevilboy

Talk 16:06, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

I don't mean to be rude, but I don't really care how you guys do it.

-- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:39, 22 June 2009 (EDT)

Assistance, Please!

Discussion Pages

Hi Error, recently you removed a piece of discussion from the telepathy talk page. I put it back on it and just want to let you know that you're not supposed to remove anything from talk pages even if you wrote it yourself. Thanks. --mc_hammark 07:38, 16 January 2010 (EST)

All right. I don't know or care why, but all right.--ERROR 11:50, 16 January 2010 (EST)
