A guard accosts Matt Parkman in a nightmare.
Character History
Fight or Flight
Maury Parkman traps his son in a nightmare in which he finds himself in a prison. A guard shouts at him unintelligibly, then disappears.
Notes
- Most of the guard's lines are spoken backwards. After Matt says, "Dad! Hey whats going on?!", the guard says, "You know the drill, Parkman; hands against the wall!" After Matt says, "Hey, what the hell's going on? Where am I?!", the guard replies, "You abandoned your kid. You're a dead beat, and now you're gonna pay." (listen). Later, the guard says, "No one is supposed to be here," but the line is heard both forwards and backwards at the same time. According to an interview with Joe Pokaski and Aron Coleite, the guard's backwards speech was meant as a reference to Matt's dyslexia.
