That night, as Niki and Nathan sleep fastly in bed together, [[Mr. Bennet]] approaches. He tells [[the Haitian]] to "just take the one."

Nathan bumps into Niki. They start to hit it off, and eventually end up talking in Nathan's room. While talking, Niki tells Nathan that her husband is a criminal and ran off. She also tells Nathan about her son. Nathan tells Niki that he has a wife and kids. Nathan kisses her, but she tells him she "can't", and she ends up amicably leaving.

As Niki is waiting for the elevator, [[Jessica]] takes control. When the doors open, one of Mr. Linderman's thugs grabs her and assaults her for not doing what she was sent to do. The henchman tries to threaten her son, but Jessica retaliates. She [[Powers#Enhanced_strength|stong-arms]] Linderman's lackey, and heads back to Nathan's room. As she strips down for him, [[The Symbol]] can be seen on her right shoulder blade, clearly caught on [[Linderman's tape|tape]].

Eventually Hiro catches up with Ando to find he's lost all but one dollar of their money. The last dollar is bet on a game of roulette, 26 black. Hiro tries to withdraw the bet, but the roulette dealer stops him. Hiro [[powers#Chronokinesis|stops time]] and places the ball so that Ando will win. Hiro also uses his power to manipulate Ando's cards while he plays poker, swapping his poor hand with his opponent's flush, and winning. Later, they're met by men who throw them out of the casino and into the waiting arms of some thugs they cheated in poker. One of the thugs knocks Hiro to the ground after an accidentally offensive comment from Ando. Ando is last seen alone and scared.

As Niki and Nathan sleep fastly in bed together, Mr. Bennet approaches. He tells The Haitian to "just take the one."

After being forcefully removed from the casino (and deposited in the middle of the desert), Hiro and Ando eventually make their way back to retrieve their [[Nissan Versa|rental car]]. After apologizing to one another for an argument, they phone [[Peter Petrelli]] from the parking garage.

She says she doesn't remember what happened, but tells Nathan that [[Mr. Linderman]] is planning to blackmail him. Later, as he's checking out of the casino, Sakamoto approaches Nathan. He confronts her about the blackmail and convinces her to double Mr. Linderman's contribution to his [[Nathan's campaign|campaign]].

Hiro and ando return to the Montecito to find Mr. Linderman. In a dressing room, they find [[Hope|a show girl]] who's crying. She says she left her [[Steve Gustavson|abusive boyfriend]] but left [[Hope's bag|her bag]] in the room. Ando and Hiro agree to get it disguised as employees. Ando leaves a room service cart in his room, and Hiro comes out of it, but says to Ando that he refuses to do it, and he leaves. Ando sneaks under Steve's bed to retrieve Hope's bag.

When Ando comes back with Hope's bag, Hope says that Hiro said he doesn't need Ando anymore, and Hope kisses Ando. They leave.

Inside a closet, Hiro is banging on the door, calling for Ando. Instead, Steve answers, introducing hinslef as "Nevada State Gaming Association".

Hiro and Ando return to the Montecito looking for Mr. Linderman, but they find a show girl crying instead. Disguised as hotel employees, they break into Steve Gustavson's room to retrieve the showgirl's bag for Hope. Hiro, having oveheard Hope's lies, is locked inside a closet.
