Among the Characters in Heroes, there are some whom I believe central to the show in one form or another. I think of them as the major characters, and they follow in this page.

I further classify them as is shown in the Table of Contents.

Core Characters

These characters I deem the core characters because they have been billed as the "Main Characters" since Season One and have had a significant role in the plot of each volume. How is explained below;

Claire Bennet

  • Volume One -- Her adjustment to her ability was a focal point of the volume; was the subject of the message, another focal point of the volume; was asked by Peter (the bomb) to kill him
  • Volume Two -- Her adapting to life in hiding was a focal point of the volume; Her blood helped keep Noah (her adopted father) and Maya alive and cured Sylar
  • Volume Three -- Her quest not to be helpless was a focal point of the volume; was instrumental in saving Noah and Angela from the wrath of Sylar by incapacitating him

Noah Bennet

  • Volume One -- Initially he was a member of the Company and saw evolved humans as animals. However he came upon a major revalation during the volume, his own adopted daughter, Claire, was one. Noah's subsequent quest to protect Claire from the Company by shutting it down and reaching out to evolved humans to do so was a focal point in the volume.
  • Volume Two -- His continued quest to protect Claire and his family from the Company, which survived his actions, was a focal point of the volume.
  • Volume Three -- His quest to capture the evolved human criminals in Level 5 was a focal point of the volume. He was also the one to help Claire in her quest to not be helpless.
