Storyline
It it just me or is this storyline getting really good!. Samuel kills Arnold! Joseph tries to kill Samuel! And I hope that was meant to be Samuel at the end because if it isn't then I'm just lost, lol --Jenx222 | U / T / C | <inlcudeonly>08:00, 7 January 2012 (EST) 05:28, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- So Arnold didn't die because of his tumor, after all. That was totally Unexpected. Wow. And one thing - Arnold said, "Nobody deserves a fate like that". Was he referring to himself, or to Charlie?
AltesUTC CH - Yeah this getting good. I really like how they used Adam in it. Maybe he is gonna become a character who more or less interacts with all the characters in the show. I hope we see more of him in the future.--Icefire227 06:17, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- I believe he was referring to Charlie. Lord knows where Samuel put her...Swm 08:44, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- Bravo, Zach Craley. Bravo. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:50, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- Just read, definitely wonderful GN, wonderful storyline :) -- Jan Rodrigo (talk) (contributions) 11:09, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- Best GN of the season, and it's had some really good GN's.--Ratclaws 11:21, 22 December 2009 (EST)

Date
Arnold says:
"How could I not know my own name? Arnold. Born in 1976. Two years after my own son! I should be thirty years old, but instead I'm an old man..."
So the timeline is in 2006, evidently. --Radicell 05:44, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- Maybe he rounded his age... #@$%, are they all on opium?
AltesUTC CH 06:02, 22 December 2009 (EST) - How to Stop an Exploding Man took place sometime in November of 2006 if im not mistaken, and the first episode of Season Two, Four Months Later, took place four months after that (obviously) which would make it in March of 2007, making it impossible for Arnold to supposed to be 30. So I conclude that he was indeed rounding his age.--Icefire227 06:29, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- If the timeline is in fact in 2009 at the moment then Arnold's age original age would be around 32 to 33. plus 48 years going on from 1961 that would put him round about 81 or 82? "The Listener"
- That seems about right. He could pass for an 80 year old man.--Icefire227 06:35, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- Let's see, Arnold was born in 1976. He went to 1961. 1976-1961=15. So, Arnold lived his original age twice, plus 15 years, plus one year for 2009. If it was 2006, he'd be 30+30+15+1=76 at the very least.
AltesUTC CH 06:41, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- But its not 2006. The earliest it can be is 2007. I think most of us can agree that Season Two was bad, but the fact that Adam Monroe was in last weeks GN proves that the writers didnt retcon everything Season 2 related from ever happening--Icefire227 06:48, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- It's not 2006 because the first part of Bloodlines takes place "last winter", which would be December, 2008. So Arnold died at the age of 32+32+15+1=80.
AltesUTC CH 06:50, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- So its settled then. Its not 2006.--Icefire227 06:54, 22 December 2009 (EST)

Well, at least SOME people on the writing team care for the continuity of the series. So we're still in 2007, that's nice to know.--Gibbeynator 11:01, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- No, we are not. Part of the novel takes place in January, and the Building 26 operation is going on. That could not be 2007, but could be 2008 or 2009. But, since it says last year, that also rules out 2008 as well. More proof that they simply caught the show up with the current date.--Ratclaws 11:19, 22 December 2009 (EST)
Samuel's victims?
So should we add Arnold to Samuel's victims? because he sort of killed him.. -- Yoshi | Talk | Contributions 06:03, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- Done.
AltesUTC CH 06:06, 22 December 2009 (EST) - Sort of? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:51, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- No doubt he killed him, so that leaves us with a bit of a plot hole: how did Samuel get back to 2006 if he killed Arnold? Before I just assumed that Arnold brought Samuel with him, and left him there while he took Charlie, but thats impossible now. Other than that, this was a excellent novel.--Ratclaws 11:13, 22 December 2009 (EST)
Mel?
Am I the only person who feels like we should know who Mel is already? Im not sure why I feel that way, I just do. Oh well--Icefire227 06:19, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- It's Melvin Crum. --Radicell 06:25, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- Ahhh I see. I need to start paying more attention to the names on the phones lol--Icefire227 06:30, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- Yeah, that was very much a great piece of trivia that was expanded upon. I had to come here and do a search for Mel because I wasn't sure who it was either. When I read "Crum", it made much more sense. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:52, 22 December 2009 (EST)

In the diner?
So, does that not mean that Arnold appeared in 1961, if he's the same worker at the diner, the one who told charles not to dance with angela. --mc_hammark 08:44, 22 December 2009 (EST)
"Both Lydia and Joseph agree not to tell Samuel about using Lydia's power."
Can someone explain me that part of the GN ? Because I don't get it, since Samuel already used Lydia's ability.
- I fixed it. They agreed not to tell him about Danko. - Josh (talk/contribs) 15:45, 22 December 2009 (EST)
Adam
How can we tell that there are tears on the uniform? All I can see is that his name tag is off and some stains, but tears? Do we have additional information? Anyway, we want to know too what happened! --Juba 16:18, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- Adam just came from the destruction and massacre of Coyote Sands. - Josh (talk/contribs) 16:45, 22 December 2009 (EST)
