Character History
I Am Become Death
Matt is taking care of Daniella, with Molly's help, at the family's shared apartment. Matt and Daphne are in discussion over her work with Pinehearst, in which Daphne asks for Molly's help in finding Peter Petrelli. Matt is reluctant to do so, and questions on how many times Daphne has avoided serious injury or even death during missions. In the end, Matt agrees to allow Daphne to use Molly's ability in exchange she agrees to settle down,
Later, Matt and Molly sit on the couch and watch the television, reporting the nuclear destruction of Costa Verde, CA, and the deaths of 200,000 people. Matt is clearly worried for Daphne's safety, and tells Molly to look after her sister when she begins to cry. Suddenly, a knock on the door is heard, and Matt opens the door to find Daphne. Daphne sways on the spot for a second and, saying "I wasn't fast enough", succumbs to the massive burns on her back and collapses into Matt's arms. Matt desperately tries to keep her alive but is powerless as his wife dies in his arms.
Evolved Human Abilities
Like his present day counterpart, Matt has the ability of telepathy.
