Derek tells him they've been riding together for two days, and Sylar tells him to call the police. As Derek goes inside, Sylar takes a brick and follows Derek, then comes back to the [[Nissan Rogue|car]] alone. Sylar asks Maya if it is them on the newspaper, and she tries to explain. Sylar tells them that Derek is calling the police. Her eyes [[Maya's ability|go black]], and Sylar begins to sicken.
