President Nathan Petrelli was an evolved human from an alternate future.

Character History

I Am Become Death

Nathan is first seen giving a statement to the press in the aftermath of the explosion that destroyed Costa Verde. He later appears at the morgue where Claire is torturing Peter, and orders her to stop, and for everyone to leave and allow him to talk to Peter alone. He releases Peter and explains that he knows what Peter is trying to avoid, but that he believes there is a "goodness to man".

Realising that Peter doesn't trust him, Nathan encourages Peter to read his mind. Peter gains an understanding of Nathan's thinking (due to absorbing Sylar's ability), but in doing so loses control, feeling a need to understand further. As a result, he starts cutting in to Nathan's skull, apparently killing him.

Evolved Human Abilities

Similar to that of his present-day self, Nathan had the ability of flight.

Notes

  • In this future, Tracy Strauss appears to be Nathan's wife, and therefore First Lady.
