- 9/19 -- NEW! In an interview, Nichelle Nichols said that Monica has a younger brother.
- 8/16 -- TV Guide reports that the Monica is "an avenging angel intent on bringing justice to the corruption-plagued Big Easy." Nana's daughter (presumably Monica's mother) died during Katrina; Nana now watches over her two grandchildren: Monica and either a sibling or cousin. Additionally, Nana is Micah's great-aunt, which would make Micah and Monica second cousins.
- 8/14 -- TV Guide reports that Monica's grandmother, Nana, will be portrayed by Nichelle Nichols.
- 7/28 -- At the 72007 San Diego Comic Con, Jeph Loeb announced that Monica is from the flood-ravaged area of New Orleans, LA.
- 7/20 -- Monica is described as an evolved human who is willing to "give up everything to help the people around her."
- 5/27 -- SpoilerFix reports that Monica will join the show in the second episode of Season Two. She is very kind to people and always thinks of others before taking care of herself. She will act as a surrogate for Niki's son.
