Thompson hires Noah Bennet into The Company and explains that Primatech Paper is to be used as a cover story. Thompson explains that Bennet will be working with an evolved human as a partner, and that the partner is already in the seemingly empty room. Claude appears and introduces himself.

A Primatech secretary tells Claude and Mr. Bennet that Thompson is waiting for them, and holds open the door to his office for them.
