Abilities
So what to call Ricky (trainee)'s ability? --Radicell 05:58, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- I've added links to Ricky's ability, although I think a merge with future terrorist's ability would also be fine. --Radicell 06:13, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- We're not sure what the future terrorist's ability was, so I don't think we should combine the two. I like that we got to see another group with abilities... I think the halfway house / specials training facility has a teleporter (the guy squatting up high on four stacked bundles of hay), a girl who could do acrobatics (perhaps adoptive muscle memory, she is doing a similar pose to what Monica did...), an energy mimic (someone who can transform their body into pure energy), and a speedster (the guy running a drill through tires super fast). Just my theory, though; some of those could be hard to agree on from just a single panel. As for the person with the knife at the end, it's hard to tell if that's water mimicry or invisibility, but since there's no water drip I'm leaning towards invisibility. We should find out about that for sure in part 2. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:08, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- It'd be quite the name if we merged.... "Future terrorist and Ricky's ability".... sounds like a band name to me.--PJDEP - Need further explanation? 00:31, 27 January 2010 (EST)
- One of the main reasons we name abilities by their possessors is because we don't know enough about the ability to give it a proper name. If we don't know enough about the terrorist's ability, and we don't know enough about Ricky's ability, then I can't see how or why we would merge them. All that's aside from the fact that the two abilities have about as many similarities as they do differences. Unless we find out that Ollie Grigsby gave Ricky the same ability as the terrorist, or that Siya Oum decided to make the ability look like the terrorist's or something, I'm opposed to a merge. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:12, 27 January 2010 (EST)
Didn't like this GN
Reason: too many unanswered questions! First, what the hell is Ricky's power? Second, you can't just show us a bunch of new powers in one panel, and not elaborate on any of them! Third, that water mimic at the end... I thought Tracy was the only remaining (and relevant) water mimic... enough said. --Radicell 06:13, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- Hence why it's (at least) a 2 part novel. Also, I think Ricky's power was only shown in one panel to let us know that he has a power, for the story it's irrelevant as to what that power is. I don't think Ricky's power will ever be eleborated on. But I'd say, just wait until next week. --Smouvy 11:39, 26 January 2010 (GMT)
- Actually there should be 2 other water mimics out there besides Tracy, whether or not the writers are reintroducing them to the main story, we'll have to wait until next week. And who knows maybe this water mimic is someone totally new or someone we know but unexpected. --Dman dustin 09:42, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- Water mimis was able to show examples Elisa or someone new- --Adamhiro 16:42, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- Will these powers not need pages? Oh and I didn't think it was water mimicry at the end... I've been wondering where Becky is? --mc_hammark 13:18, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- I was under the impression that it was water mimicry at first, but then I kinda thought that since the person was holding the knife it might have just been invisibility (Becky). Does anyone else wonder what the point of stabbing Tracy is? I'd assume she would just regenerate, even it was a surprise attack. Perhaps being stabbed in the back of the head would do her in (ie, Sylar/Claire)?--Halfxwitted 13:21, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- Looks more like water than invisibility to me, it's quite different from the GN invisibility effects we've seen so far. I don't think a stab in the head would do much, not it she turns into water by instinct like she did when Edgar attacked her. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 13:26, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- Well that woman sitting with Tracy didn't look like Angela (until the last panel where she does kind of look like an older woman with the same facial features). Each artist has their own style and abilities/characters change appearance sometimes. Perhaps the people drawing the GN wanted to be somewhat ambiguous to even the most avid Heroes fan. If it was too obvious that it was Becky, then where's the suspense?--Halfxwitted 13:38, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- I actually thought it was water mimicry to, but on a second glance it occured to me that it could be Eli making another copy, have we seen him do that in a GN yet, I know we've seen his compy get destroyed / denatured / whatever but I don't remeber seeing him create one and it looks like someone is materialising out of the air.--Fr0z3nB0nes 17:02, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- Water mimis was able to show examples Elisa or someone new- --Adamhiro 16:42, 26 January 2010 (EST)

- Why can't they show many new abilities in one GN? Perhaps from this site's view(who archieves and names abilities every time one shows up), this GN's a bit too much. But for readers, who are the main target for releasing Graphic Novels, it would give them much to ponder about and take interest in the series. Generally speaking, this site has very different views from that of your average reader. I mean, they don't have to name abilities themselves.--Realistic
Blank check
No one's commented on it yet, but I thought it was interesting that Angela gave Tracy a blank check, meaning she could write whatever amount she wanted on it... I guess she really trusts Tracy, even though she said she never wanted to see her again...--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:12, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- Based on Angela's usual methods, she probably sees the camp as a potential training ground for a new company, and her investment as a means of manipulation when the time comes.--NovaX81 17:02, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- I don't think it was blank: I think we just couldn't see the amount.--WarGrowlmon18 17:46, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- Either way, Angela still gave her money. That's significant. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:14, 27 January 2010 (EST)
- I don't think it was blank: I think we just couldn't see the amount.--WarGrowlmon18 17:46, 26 January 2010 (EST)
Water mimicry
Do we know for certain that the person behind Tracy had this power? It doesn't really make much sense...--PJDEP - Need further explanation? 14:28, 27 January 2010 (EST)
- If you look on the specials training facility page, it says that it is unknown whether it was Water mimicry or Invisibility. I personally think it was WM, but thats just my opinion. --Leckie -- Talk 14:52, 27 January 2010 (EST)
- If we don't know for sure, that part in the summary should be removed, or made less speculative.--PJDEP - Need further explanation? 14:55, 27 January 2010 (EST)
- Thanks.--PJDEP - Need further explanation? 15:17, 27 January 2010 (EST)
- Thanks, Leckie, for fixing that. I just worked on the summary some more, though, fixing a bunch of grammar mistakes and rewording some passages as to who said/did what, so you might want to take another look at it.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:53, 27 January 2010 (EST)
So, wait...
Did I miss the part in the series where Tracy learned everything about Coyote Sands, including Alice?--Gibbeynator 15:04, 28 January 2010 (EST)
- I don't think we ever saw it, but it's not that difficult to explain, "There was a camp full of evolved humans that the government was studying in the 60's, but they didn't do a great job because Angela Petrelli's sister destroyed it all".--PJDEP - Need further explanation? 15:10, 28 January 2010 (EST)
- I guess this is another example of characters knowing more than we know they should.--Gibbeynator 18:20, 29 January 2010 (EST)
Becky Taylor?
Could the girl with the knife be Becky Taylor we haven't seen her around, pun not intended. AHB 23:41, 29 January 2010 (EST)
- It's possible... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:43, 29 January 2010 (EST)
- At first, I thought it was Tracy controlling the water to pick up the knife. But then I saw the person was invisible. It seems like it would be Becky, as she has been involved with the whole carnival deal, but I hope it's someone else, who might show up in the actual show sometime. Chances are what I am looking for what come true anytime soon.--Catalyst · Talk · HL 00:26, 30 January 2010 (EST)
Other trainees?
If I'm not wrong there are 3 other trainees, right? One with super speed, the acrobatic one andthe one at the top of haystack. I'm not that goof with creating a page (by not good i mean; i don't know anything about it). So maybe someone could create some character pages for them? And we would get 3 new evo and possible users of superspeed and adoptive muscle memory powers. ^^ --Sekobro (talk) 19:15, 10 October 2015 (EDT)
