Ha ha ha ha ha!
At first, I thought a GN about Hiro's insanity wouldn't be a good one, but after I saw Magneto, Sauron, Frodo, Kodos and Kang, I laughed my ass off! LOL

- Agreed, I loved this week's everything. :) --Radicell 05:28, 5 January 2010 (EST)
- Minor production problem, though. Bowser is still called King Koopa in Japan.--Gibbeynator 07:17, 5 January 2010 (EST)
- Although it's funny, I'm really worried about Hiro. Like the brain tumor wasn't enough. I'm afraid he'll die this season, and Charlie won't be saved, and no happy ending!

- Gibbeynator, it's not a production problem. On Page 2 it says that everything Hiro is saying is being translated from Japanese into English.--Halfxwitted 08:35, 5 January 2010 (EST)
- Yes, <everything written like this> has been translated from Japanese to English :)) -- Jan Rodrigo (talk) (contributions) 08:51, 5 January 2010 (EST)
- Well, when they say translated, I didn't think that also meant "Oh, and every name he says also becomes the American name"--Gibbeynator 11:52, 5 January 2010 (EST)

- Yeah, I thought this was a great novel. It was cool to see the side-by-side comparisons of how people and animals appeared in Hiro's mind vs. reality. I think doing something like this for the show too would be fun to see. Probably would blow through the wardrobe budget, though. In any case, I'm looking forward to part two. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 12:06, 5 January 2010 (EST)
- Well gibbeynator clearly it does mean that because that's what happened.Gamerelite1 10:23, 9 January 2010 (EST)
References?
Okay, I'll do my best and take a stab: (Always going from top left to bottom right, Hiro = Don Quixote) It's tricky with color changes to avoid copyright infringement!
- 2: Don Quixote background?
- 3: Angel from X-Men (? with a Legend of Zelda emblem on chest?), Futurama spaceship, Hellboy, Alien, Lex Luthor
- 4: Spock, Princess Zelda, Sherwood Forest = Robin Hood?, Rescue Rangers in that little blimp thing
- 5: Cheshire Cat, Hansel and Gretel candy house, Toad, Possibly blocks from Mario Brothers, Possibly that house from Amityville Horror? (Shadows of Zelda and Gannon/Moblin)
- 6: Zelda and Gannon/Moblin, somebody from Lord of the Rings (Frodo?)
- 7: Asylum = Arkham from Batman, Kodos/Kang from Simpsons, Hannibal Lector, Dr. Watson (name-drop from Sherlock Holmes)
Anyone else? There were a few I missed...including settings/backgrounds/possible name-drops/quotes.--Halfxwitted 09:05, 5 January 2010 (EST)
- 8: Montgomery Scott, page 1, (Beam me up Scotty)
- 9: Duncan McCloud in Highlander trenchcoat, page 2
(Also what is the red spaceship on page 2 from? Can't quite place it...
- 10: Yoda, page 5, ("Halt you shall. The maiden in good hands she is")
--HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 01/5/2010 11:02 (EST)
- The aliens near the end are from the Simpsons.--Riddler 11:48, 5 January 2010 (EST)
- Also, when the Park Ranger/Toad told him that their "princess was in another castle," he was referencing Super Mario Bros. There were several other references from the series in that scene, including ? blocks and the good old brick ones.--Uncanny474 18:06, 7 January 2010 (EST)
- I've uploaded most of the references as images...not gonna pretend to be able to identify all of them, so if any of you are sure who is who, then go edit the images and put a description tag on them, telling who they are. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 01/8/2010 10:47 (EST)

Date
- Why do we always give the monday date when the novels appear on tuesdays? --Juba 05:21, 12 January 2010 (EST)
- Although theyt appear for most people on the tuesday, they are released while it is still monday in some places (I think hawaii) so we have to take the earlier date. --mc_hammark 06:59, 13 January 2010 (EST)
- The novels are uploaded on the NBC Website, and Trip 2 was published "January 12 - 2:17am PT"! --Juba 04:42, 14 January 2010 (EST)
