Good picture for this would be when Peter tries to defend against Arthur, but nothing happens. --Aburu 23:15, 20 October 2008 (EDT)

  • Done. Plus, the one that was being used is not standard size, and composite images like that are not very versatile. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:03, 26 October 2008 (EDT)

I think that infobox power does not fit this article at all. I was looking around for a possible replacement, but I don't think there is one that would work out well. I think this is more of a list of abilities that evolved humans lost in the series then a description of an evolved human power. Also, I think someone could make a template called infobox list, there doesn't appear to be one and could fit in with many other articles. --  PinkKeith (talk) 11:37, 21 October 2008 (EDT)

  • I noticed that we use the template on other ability types lists, so I guess this template is just fine! :) --  PinkKeith (talk) 12:09, 21 October 2008 (EDT)

I just remembered that Mohinder used Curare to subdue Sylar in season one. Perhaps the infobox image can be updated? Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 12:08, 21 October 2008 (EDT)

Hiro's ability loss

Hiro was unable to use his powers for a good chunk of Season One. He believed it was because he didn't have the Kensei sword, but really it was more about not believing in himself...or some other mojo like that. Anyway, that aspect should probably be added to the page. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:03, 26 October 2008 (EDT)

  • I've done a bit of it, although it could do with some work...--IotV 19.38, 5 January 2009 (GMT)

Even though this page isn't finished, I'll go ahead and add it to the appropriate portals, etc. so it gets more traffic and can get cleaned up. It's in need of some help...and standardization. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:03, 26 October 2008 (EDT)

Primatech's Drug Shunt

  • It seems like Primatech's drug shunt on Level 5 also negates enhanced human abilities. This is up for discussion though because Sylar seems to be able to break through it in Eris Quod Sum. --TheBressman 07:08, 28 October 2008 (EDT)
    • I think it's the damaged module shown here, as Doyle said that he can use his power when the module was down. Chrisyu357 10:04, 29 October 2008 (EDT)

First power-removing eclipse in at least 400 years

  • Can we say that this is the first time the eclipse has removed powers, at least since the 17th century? If there was another one, it would've killed Adam so, unless he can regenerate from dust, it can be deduced that there has been no other power-removing eclipse in that timespan. --Stevehim 20:46, 25 November 2008 (EST)
    • Well, there have been plenty of other eclipses, but we don't know what affect they have on a 400-year-old man. When Arthur stole Adam's powers, he didn't have them anymore, so he died. Perhaps the eclipse just makes them dormant. Also, we don't know that the eclipse affects all powers. We haven't seen every evolved human, so it's a bit speculative to say that the eclipse takes away all the powers (though that's certainly the direction the writing seems to take us, eh?)...I would at least wait until the eclipse is over and we understand a bit more about how the eclipse works before we make any definitive statements about the status of the powers. I would also be really hesitant to say much about eclipses we haven't seen based solely on the fact that Adam didn't die from them. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:54, 25 November 2008 (EST)
      • And like claire even if adam died he would come back alive when the eclipse ended. Gabriel Bishop 16:46, 13 December 2008 (EST) Gabriel Bishop
        • Yes, but I think it's pretty safe to assume that he couldn't come to life if he turned to dust during an eclipse. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 16:50, 13 December 2008 (EST)
          • I'd wager that God, the creator of the systems that allow for abilities in the first place, put something in the particular mechanism for regen that would prevent an old regen'er from turning to dust during an eclipse that takes away powers. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 22:17, 13 December 2008 (EST)
    • If any eclipse in the past had taken away powers, Arthur should have known the effect. Oviously he doesn't. So we can assume that this effect don't occur on every eclipse but only on some eclipses. I also think that the area in which the powers are taken away ist limited to this of the moon's shadow. Claire awakes after the sun shines on her again. In Adam knew that those effects can occur on Eclipses he would had avoided eclipses in the past by going anywhere the eclipse doesn't occur. -- VegetableHarry, 2009-02-07, 08:55 (UTC+1)
      • Why would Arthur know the effects over anybody else? And actually, Arthur did have a pretty good inkling that when the eclipse was coming that things would change. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:31, 7 February 2009 (EST)

Powers the eclipse affected

I've left it off for now (especially since we're using 'include'), but even if we only want to list abilities we've seen lost for now, don't we know that both Sylar and Arthur are powerless? If so, we should add: alchemy, clairsentience, poison emission, precognition and sound manipulation. Even if we assume that Sylar may still have the ones he didn't 'try out,' didn't Arthur say he's lost all of his powers (and so should at least include precognition and poison emission, ignoring the ones he absorbed but has yet to demonstrate)? Thoughts? --Stevehim 21:11, 25 November 2008 (EST)

  • I would say that every superhuman we have seen in the eclipse lost his/her power. Therefor I think it doesn't make sense to list the powers that not work, but say that most likely every power doesn't work. -- VegetableHarry, 2008-02-07, 09:00 (UTC+1)

Anyone thinks we should a gallery for this article, abilities not working and all such as Nathan falling and Claire not healing? Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 11:36, 2 December 2008 (EST)

Ability deprivation

Any thoughts?

  • I like loss, it's simple, no need to rename the page. Also, it doesn't suit it, it sounds as if someone is preventing you from using or accessing an ability, kinda like the Haitian's ability, it doesn't convey the fact that the ability is gone for good.
