I've been asked this quite a bit, so I have it all rehearsed, lol. It breaks into The-Requiem-Bell-Is-Here. I went through an emo phase that still lingers, so I've kept it on. A requiem is a funereal mass and the church bell is one of the main instruments used. It's also a line from the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney World! (Albeit warped a little). The colors you chose for the cast infobox are fine. You switched the spoiler color, too, though, so Ellen Greene, for instance, was showing up as a regular cast member. I tried to switch it, but changed the wrong spoiler section and didn't have time to fix it before I had to go out.... I just wanted to give a quick explanation. **To be honest, I'm hesitant to publicize a web address of HTML color codes because I don't want the colors to be changed willy nilly. But if you want it for future reference, that's cool. There are tons of sites that list color codes. Personally I prefer this one. The list doesn't seem to be in any particular order, but I like the selection of colors they have. Another one I use sometimes is this one--it's a very organized list, but I find it more confusing because it's difficult for me to tell the difference among the colors when two neighbors are so similar. — <font color=#0147FA>RyanGibsonStewart</font> (<font color=#0147FA>talk</font>) 00:02, 7 May 2007 (EDT) |

Hey, Heroe. ***** There's no rush especially on the older ones. Usually, though not always, mistakes with older edits are caught when people check out pages after more recent edits. Just make sure to examine each edit before patrolling it and to focus on more recent ones because that's where mistakes are more likely. (Admin 23:24, 9 February 2008 (EST)) |

****** Is there way to permanently hide patrolled edits on Recent Changes? It's a bit annoying that I constantly have to click "Hide patrolled edits" every time I go back to recent changes. -- 23:26, 9 February 2008 (EST) |

******* I don't think so, no. Unless you bookmark the URL Ryan provided above and just use that to get to the recent changes each time. (Admin 23:28, 9 February 2008 (EST)) |
|||
******* Yeah, that's a good suggestion since there's no option in preferences to do that. Another option is to copy the link once you got the recent changes how you like them, then paste the url into your userpage. A toolbar link that displays a custom "Patrol changes" link only for administrators and patrollers group members is probably possible, not sure.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:37, 9 February 2008 (EST) |

******* I use Firefox, which is a tabbed browser. My first tab is almost always recent changes. I get the page to look how I want (hide my edits, hide edits made to theory pages, show only unpatrolled edits, whatever you want, though I usually look at everything). Then I start looking at each edit from the bottom up, and I do that by opening each edit in a new tab (Ctrl+click, though Shift+click works to open each edit in a new window if you don't have a tabbed browser). After I get to the top of the recent changes page, I click the date (it says "Show new changes starting from [DATE]) which will show me only the edits made after I originally opened the recent changes page. It's really quite nice, and doing so keeps whatever format changes you've made to RC (like hiding patrolled edits). Then I just repeat the patrolling process, starting at the bottom of the new RC page and head to the top. It sounds like a lot, but it's really pretty automatic once you get the hang of it. Let me know if you need me to explain more; I can do screencaps if you're not familiar with some of the options I mentioned. -- 08:32, 10 February 2008 (EST) |

The reason I didn't include the heading in template:MQ is because it would throw off the edit buttons. We have the same problem with template:theories and template:spoiler, which is why they're required to be at the very end of the page, so it doesn't hurt any edit buttons. It's also the reason why we have to <tt>subst:</tt> template:welcome, and why there's all that odd code around the character appearances on the episode pages. -- 23:21, 4 June 2007 (EDT) |

**No, it's not that you don't know what you're doing--we did the same thing for the longest time. All the examples I gave above caused a big problem and it took us a while to figure out. Each has their unique solution, including heading placement, subst:, and span/div codes. I figured the easiest solution for MQ was simply to not include any headings in the code. It's a pretty simple template, it shouldn't be that big of a deal. But don't think that you don't know what you're doing. For the longest time, we all thought using headings in a template was a good idea, too. -- 23:35, 4 June 2007 (EDT) |

Type of Pyramid
I think the type of pyramid (pointed top) is relevant as to whether it is Egyptian or not. Am I missing something?--MiamiVolts (talk) 20:00, 18 December 2007 (EST)
- The theory was that the pyramid was important. The note pointed out that the style of pyramid was Egyptian, which isn't supporting the theory. --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 20:10, 18 December 2007 (EST)
- Ah, ok.--MiamiVolts (talk) 20:21, 18 December 2007 (EST)
Thanks
Hey, Thanks for the name suggestion. I wonder why I never came up with that? (*.*)? -- Helix of Chaos (talk) 01:18, 21 December 2007 (EST)
Name meaning
I've been asked this quite a bit, so I have it all rehearsed, lol. It breaks into The-Requiem-Bell-Is-Here. I went through an emo phase that still lingers, so I've kept it on. A requiem is a funereal mass and the church bell is one of the main instruments used. It's also a line from the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney World! (Albeit warped a little). fanfiction
- Hey Heroe, have you ever thought about writing fanfiction? Cause you've put several characters on the chart and I think you could make a really good story! They sound very cool. If you ever want to make one, I could help you out. :) Jason Garrick 22:43, 7 January 2008 (EST)
- Thank you. I wrote a few chapters of a super powers novel. You can read the here, if you can stand going through all the pages. I'm also a member of a Heroes RPG on the same forum, which I consider somewhat fan fiction. --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 23:03, 7 January 2008 (EST)
- Very good so far! You should also post it on www.fanfiction.net. I have my own story there but I'm rewriting it to make it better. Jason Garrick 20:14, 8 January 2008 (EST)

Patroller
- I made you a patroller. You've done a good job in the past of keeping an eye on edits. Keep up the good work. :) (Admin 22:19, 9 February 2008 (EST))
- Agree. Let us know if you have any questions. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:22, 9 February 2008 (EST)
- Yay! :D So, how do I mark an edit as patrolled? I read about little ! next to edits on recent changes, but I can't click them. --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 22:24, 9 February 2008 (EST)
- You might need to refresh, or even log out and log back in. All edits from today have been taken care of, so you might want to click "Hide patrolled edits". -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:26, 9 February 2008 (EST)
- Congrats and welcome aboard the patrollers group. :) Currently, there are still a large portion of my edits unpatrolled. If you don't see any, click the 30 day option and to hide patrolled edits. Then, click on the link for the diff (or the article itself if no diff). Click [mark this article as patrolled] if it's okay; or edit it and then mark it or vice versa.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:14, 9 February 2008 (EST)
- Damn, that is a lot. I may need to get a second mouse. :P --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 23:20, 9 February 2008 (EST)
- There's no rush especially on the older ones. Usually, though not always, mistakes with older edits are caught when people check out pages after more recent edits. Just make sure to examine each edit before patrolling it and to focus on more recent ones because that's where mistakes are more likely. (Admin 23:24, 9 February 2008 (EST))
- Is there way to permanently hide patrolled edits on Recent Changes? It's a bit annoying that I constantly have to click "Hide patrolled edits" every time I go back to recent changes. --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 23:26, 9 February 2008 (EST)
- I don't think so, no. Unless you bookmark the URL Ryan provided above and just use that to get to the recent changes each time. (Admin 23:28, 9 February 2008 (EST))
- Yeah, that's a good suggestion since there's no option in preferences to do that. Another option is to copy the link once you got the recent changes how you like them, then paste the url into your userpage. A toolbar link that displays a custom "Patrol changes" link only for administrators and patrollers group members is probably possible, not sure.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:37, 9 February 2008 (EST)
- I use Firefox, which is a tabbed browser. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:32, 10 February 2008 (EST)
- It looks like you're getting the hang of patrolling. Do you have any questions about any of the shortcuts, tricks, and tips? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:38, 10 February 2008 (EST)
- Nope. --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 22:44, 10 February 2008 (EST)

Patrolling guidelines
Hey, Heroe. As we approach the start of a new season and what promises to be a very busy time on the wiki, I suggested some tips for patrolling here. Check them out when you get a chance. Thanks! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:57, 19 September 2008 (EDT)
When you revert, you need to say why
Especially if you are reverting on a theory page, where users may speculate. It is not appropriate to remove text just because you don't like the theory on a theory page. If you don't leave a comment as to why it just means editing wars.--Bradtem 22:09, 24 September 2008 (EDT)
- All I did was fix capitalization errors and put something of mine that someone removed back. --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 11:48, 25 September 2008 (EDT)
Existential crisis
May you recover quickly. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:16, 2 December 2008 (EST)
- I also hope you recover quickly. When you return, you may want to contribute to Talk:Deveaux Society; do you still consider it a potential spoiler?--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:19, 13 December 2008 (EST)
Welcome back!
Hey there! Haven't seen you around in awhile... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:58, 11 February 2009 (EST)
- Yeah. To be honest, I was disappointed with Villains so I stopped watching for a while. But the newest episode was pretty good, so I think I'll go back to being a regular editor. --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 21:00, 11 February 2009 (EST)
- Cool. Have you been keeping up with the graphic novels? You might also want to check out the webisodes or even the iStory if you haven't done so already... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:03, 11 February 2009 (EST)

Sorry about delete the Ando parentage theory. Its just that Kimiko is dating Ando, so incest and all. Sorry about that.
- It's OK. Some crazy theories swirl around here. Just look at Theory:Mr. Muggles. --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 23:46, 24 September 2009 (EDT)
