In traditional Judaism, 613 is the number of commandments ("mitzvot") that are incumbent upon Jewish people to perform, and in some circles, mystical qualities are ascribed to the number itself.

- In an interview, Greg Grunberg insinuates that Matt Parkman is Jewish. This is almost hinted in Five Years Gone when Matt says "Mazel tov" to Noah Bennet for his daughter's marriage. "Mazel tov" is the Hebrew phrase of congratulations.
