Sanjog Iyer is the mysterious boy that visits Mohinder Suresh in his dreams.

Character History

Seven Minutes to Midnight

Sanjog visits Mohinder twice as Mohinder dozes off in his father's office at the Chennai University. His name is also found on a file that was hidden in a locked drawer in Chandra's desk.

Powers

Sanjog appears to have the power of dream manipulation. Sanjog causes Mohinder to re-live a scene from his past, to witness two scenes at which neither Mohinder nor Sanjog was present, and interact with him via a soccer ball encounter. It is not clear which individual is ultimately in control of the progress of the dream.

Notes

• Official documents in Southern India often write the proper name as the Family Name (Iyer) first followed by the Individual's name (Sanjog). In Western nations, the proper name is writen as the Individual name followed by the Family Name, and categorized as "Family Name, Individual Name". In the file seen in Seven Minutes to Midnight, the text at the top of the file is "Sanjog, Iyer", which appears to use western categorization style on an Indian proper name, with the net written result of "Individual Name, Family Name". 1 2

Fan Theories

After his first appearance, a number of fans speculated wildly about everything from Sanjog's gender to his corporeal existence. Homecoming showed him to be a conscious, living, breathing boy, disproving a number of far-fetched theories:

• Possibly the craziest of all fan theories is that Sanjog is Sylar, due to the fact that Sanjog's first initial and last name is "S.Iyer".
• Equally curious is the theory that Sanjog, an 11 year-old boy, is the ghost of Mohinder's sister Shanti, who died as a 5 year-old girl.
• Other hypothesized that Sanjog was stuck in the dream world.
