Primatech's Character Pages
I dunno what to call them. Anyway, I was noticing for the characters that have a page (or are mentioned) in Primatech's online Assignment Tracker 2.0 (is that what it's called?) they have this statistic (which I found interesting/informative) about percent control over the power(s). Is that worth mentioning on the character and/or powers pages? And if so, what section would it go in? --SpellingBee~Talk to me!~~Contribs~ 14:32, 30 April 2008 (EDT) P.S. - I sent a Facebook friend request.
- Okay, check out the abilities sections on each of the seven characters' pages (for instance, Donna Dunlap#Evolved Human Abilities). Let me know what you think. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 22:17, 30 April 2008 (EDT)
- The part about the % control is great. My problem with the numbers about biological/cerebral/elemental/temporal-spatial is that those #s have no meaning. Maybe including or linking to an explanation of the significance of the number would help? --SpellingBee~Talk to me!~~Contribs~ 19:07, 1 May 2008 (EDT)
- But do we know what those numbers mean? I mean, we can guess, but we ultimately don't really know anything about those numbers other than the subjects they're linked to (biological, cerebral). To list anything more would be speculative. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 20:39, 2 May 2008 (EDT)
- Maybe the best solution is to leave off those numbers, and just keep the percent control number, which actually does make sense as a statistic without requiring guessing the meaning/significance of a number? --SpellingBee~Talk to me!~~Contribs~ 23:14, 7 May 2008 (EDT)
- I don't think there's any harm in reporting the numbers--that way they can be left open for interpretation. Just because we don't know what they mean doesn't mean we don't need to include them at all. It just means we shouldn't presume their significance. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 23:17, 7 May 2008 (EDT)
- Ok, let's go w/ that. --SpellingBee~Talk to me!~~Contribs~ 23:00, 9 May 2008 (EDT)

Albanian
Did you go to Albania as part of a Mormon mission, or was it for fun, or what inspired that? I'm just curious. --SpellingBee~Talk to me!~~Contribs~ 23:00, 9 May 2008 (EDT)
- When I was 19, I applied to go on a two-year mission, as most Mormon boys do. I was assigned to go to Albania. I learned a bit of the language in the Mission Training Center in Provo, UT, two months prior to going on my mission. The rest of my language acquisition was learned by writing down new words, keeping a dictionary handy, and asking a million questions. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 23:18, 9 May 2008 (EDT)
Evsdropr's messages
He actually posted with "hhttp", should we just leave it? Therequiembellishere 19:21, 1 May 2008 (EDT)
- Oddly enough, I didn't get that email. Go figure. Let's preserve the double h, but make the link work. I'll take care of it now. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 23:21, 1 May 2008 (EDT)
need some article deleted without an AFD
User:SacValleyDweller/list of GN's by artist and User:SacValleyDweller/list of GN's by colorist wound up being bears to load. I wanted to have them be promoted to the mainspace or somwhere else for use, but their unwieldiness outweighs their utility, and I have a page now that is more usefully for what I need it for. I want those two pages deleted, but cant put the AFD on them. could you delete them for me?--SacValleyDweller (talk) 18:40, 2 May 2008 (EDT)

Any progress on the transcription?--SacValleyDweller (talk) 02:23, 7 May 2008 (EDT)
- I've gotten very backlogged with life. Baldbobbo and MiamiVolts are being extrememly gracious in helping me out with the transcription. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 07:31, 9 May 2008 (EDT)

on Gramar and gerunds...
Last I checked, the word "melting" in "Melting wrenches sure is fun!" isn't functioning as a noun in that sentence. The word there is being used as a verb in some fashion. To say "The melting of Dale's best wrench was a tragedy." would be using "melting" as a noun.--SacValleyDweller (talk) 01:26, 7 May 2008 (EDT)
- Yes, that's a much better example of a gerund. Remember, I'm only a second grade teacher! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 18:34, 7 May 2008 (EDT)

Did you already send the reply you were going to send when you got home?--MiamiVolts (talk) 18:30, 7 May 2008 (EDT)
- No. I'm actually on my way out with my son for swimming lessons. Be back around 8 or 8:30! -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 18:33, 7 May 2008 (EDT)
Season 3 Trailer
Hey - I just wanted to let you know that a teaser trailer for Season 3: Villains has been released on nbc.com. I don't know where to put the link (maybe on the Main Page under News?) so I'll give the URL to you and let you decide. "http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/video/video_display.shtml?mea=248965&dst=nbc|widget|NBC%20Video&__source=nbc|widget|NBC%20Video#mea=248965" -Dan
- Hi Dan, it's already listed on our spoiler section and under links.--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:54, 9 May 2008 (EDT)
