The removing of FNL

Is there a reason in particular? I saw no discussion or argument in favor where I looked. Cuardin 01:40, 19 April 2007 (EDT)

  • It was nominated for deletion almost two months ago, and nobody spoke in favour of keeping it. Given that the writers expressly disclaimed any (intentional) connection between the mascots, it's not really relevant as a reference article; it's better suited to being a note.--Hardvice (talk) 01:43, 19 April 2007 (EDT)
  • I actually didn't delete the page, just the links to it. However, I agree with Admin for deleting it--references really should be a bit more obvious or intentional. The only connection that was even stated in the old article was that Permian High School has a panther as their mascot, and Union Wells has a wildcat as a mascot--not even the same animal, if I understand zoology correctly. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 07:32, 19 April 2007 (EDT)

So glad I'm not the only one who thought "Pants-Off Dance-Off ... hehe, hehe".--Hardvice (talk) 00:50, 10 April 2007 (EDT)

  • First great show. Second, "debrief" is only surpassed by the word "penal". Third, I was laughing so loud I woke up my son. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:52, 10 April 2007 (EDT)

Those bunch of random character users recently are spambots. I wouldn't even waste time welcoming them because they're not welcome! ;) (Admin 11:39, 10 April 2007 (EDT))

  • Isnt Rb7kxpdlm76p a real nick ? :( Hihi ... hum! -- FrenchFlo (talk)        11:40, 10 April 2007 (EDT)
    • Could be. :) And I don't just accuse any random character username of being a spambot, but as you saw when they keep creating new accounts over and over and originate from the same IPs, it's pretty evident. :) (Admin 11:41, 10 April 2007 (EDT))
      • I was a bit suspect. Even after a "really good" episode, we don't usually have that many new users at once. Too bad... — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:43, 10 April 2007 (EDT)

  • Hey, you seem to have a good rapport with Jason Badower... you think he'd be willing to add a Heroes Wiki link to his blog? He's got two free links under the "Google News" link that aren't used yet. :) (Admin 14:57, 10 April 2007 (EDT))
    • I'll email him and ask him. He's actually given us quite a bit of love, though. All of my comments link back here rather than to my own blog, and he mentioned us very favorably here and other spots. But I'll ask him if he would be willing to put a link there for us. Searching for "Jason Badower" on Google returns our site either second or third. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:16, 10 April 2007 (EDT)
      • I check out his blog pretty frequently to get the behind the scenes look at War Buddies, so I've seen he's been kind to us. Just figured a link in his links section would be very cool, too. :) They should pay Jason and Annette to create a whole graphic novel series on Linderman's past, unless they're planning to retell a lot of his past within the show itself. (Admin 15:37, 10 April 2007 (EDT))
        • Now that would be cool, wouldn't it? Honestly, I trust anything Jason does will have 100% of his effort and dedication. And supreme talent. ... I don't know of any plans to retell Linderman's past outside of the graphic novels. Jason makes a pretty good point, though, that this story is perfect for a comic because neither a CGI Linderman, another actor, nor Malcolm McDowell in prosthetics would be very convincing. Heck, we balked at a poorly done promo voiceover! ... Anyway, I assume you got my email. I'll let you know when I hear back from Jason. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:28, 10 April 2007 (EDT)
    • Okay, he added a link from his site. That was really nice of him. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:34, 10 April 2007 (EDT)
    • Actually, he added two links to us--one to the main page, the other to Portal:Issues. Again, very cool of him. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:14, 12 April 2007 (EDT)
      • It was. We should try to get him at least onto our Links page. His blog isn't entirely about Heroes, but perhaps being an artist for the graphic novels it's close enough to being an official Heroes resource? Would be great if he had Heroes blog entries tagged so we could just link to the Heroes tag, but oh well. :) (Admin 22:39, 10 April 2007 (EDT))
        • He shares script information, he regularly posts on 9thwonders (when he has a GN come out), and has a pretty good association with a couple of people from our crew. I don't know how to tag blog entries; I don't think there's anything wrong with putting his blog on our links page. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:04, 10 April 2007 (EDT)
          • There's definitely not anything wrong with adding his blog to Links, I was just thinking about the best place for it. His blog isn't just a fansite, but is it an official resource? I'd lean towards yes, but I figured I'd throw the question out here anyway and see what you thought. (Admin 23:07, 10 April 2007 (EDT))
            • I'm sorry, I thought I was saying it was. :) Sometimes I, um, think one thing, but it doesn't exactly come out the way I planned.... Anyway, if Beeman is official, I'd say Jason is pretty much, too. But actually, we could probably stand to make a bit of a division. I don't have anything specific in mind, but it strikes me kinda funny that Hiro's blog is on the official sites, but not Hana's website or anything else from Heroes 360. If we make a split, I guess maybe we could do the 360 stuff separate ... but that doesn't really help us with Jason's blog. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:14, 10 April 2007 (EDT)

.com vs. .org

I think you have and .org confused. is part of the Heroes 360 experience. is a fansite. The MySpace page is of the team blog (, run by one of the users on

  • Yes you're right, I was confusing the two suffixes. But even if shares an originator with, I still don't think it makes much sense to have a link to the on On the surface, they have nothing to do with each, and there's no explanation to boot. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:57, 11 April 2007 (EDT)
  • Agreed. I would see the logic for the creator of to put a link on the actually site since they were a user, but not for it to be put in a section on this site when it's not related to content. --Bob 01:03, 11 April 2007 (EDT)

South Park Heroes

How did you get a screenshot of just the character? Every time I try to do it I get the entire screen. Heroe!(talk) 22:41, 17 April 2007 (EDT)

Latest Jason post

Hey, did you happen to save the latest post Jason put on his blog? I think they were removed, my browser's not showing any pictures.--Bob 01:39, 19 April 2007 (EDT)

  • Must be a browser problem--I'm having no problem seeing any images. They're over here, though, if you want to check them out. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 07:32, 19 April 2007 (EDT)

New Episode Namespace

I fixed the episode sidebar. Can you think of any other templates which behave differently if used on an episode? The character appearances, maybe?--Hardvice (talk) 03:10, 21 April 2007 (EDT)

  • Off the top of my head, maybe the spoiler templates? Ooh, and probably the episode navbar template (I think it's just called "nav"). I'm having a mental block beyond that. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 03:14, 21 April 2007 (EDT)

  • Your reply to Catherine on Wikia was well-said. Good job. :) (Admin 03:50, 21 April 2007 (EDT))
    • Thanks -- I didn't expect anybody to check that out, it was more of a good will kinda thing ... I just don't understand ruining other people's hard work. Tearing down others for your own benefit is so immature. Oh well, I'll jump off my soap box now and stop being such a Mrs. Grundy (talk) 04:03, 21 April 2007 (EDT)
      • Just wanted to add my thanks for being mature and reasonable; I read the discussion on Talk:Main Page, and I understand that this person doesn't reflect the attitudes or policies of HeroesWiki.  :) We wish you well! Catherine 15:54, 21 April 2007 (EDT)

Astounding userpages

  • Hee, thanks for the chuckle, Ryan. :) Melloasjello 12:15, 21 April 2007 (EDT)
    • Chuckle away, my dear. Astounding is better than outstanding any day, and certainly better than the hybrid outstounding. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:14, 21 April 2007 (EDT)

Moving Timeline page

So I tried to move User:Baldbobbo/Timeline to Timeline, but it wouldn't work since I archived the old timeline. So, I changed the redirect on Timeline to my userpage, but when I click on a link to Timeline, it goes to the archive instead of following the redirect (it was just on the Template:Timeline, fixed temporarily as well). Any way of fixing that?--Bob 01:25, 23 April 2007 (EDT)

I needed something like that. It will help a lot. Thanks.

  • Good, I'm glad. It's a very handy resource. It saves a lot of time. You don't always have to go back and watch an episode--not just for quotes, but also for searching for a particular word, for seeing who was in a particular scene, or just remembering what happened. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:45, 23 April 2007 (EDT)

I have a super bad headache and am not thinking very clearly. Can you take a look and let me know what else we need from tonight's extravaganza? Thx.--Hardvice (talk) 01:59, 24 April 2007 (EDT)

  • You got it. Um, one problem. I actually haven't seen the episode yet. Yeah, I know, I know. My TiVo started recording at 9:30 instead of 9:00. Needless to say, I'm a bit upset. Oh well, I'll watch it on NBC later. It's actually quite amazing how much you get from watching the last half of the show, watching the million and one teasers they released, and reading posts on this site. ... I'll take a look anyway. Hope your headache clears up. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:04, 24 April 2007 (EDT)

Lori Tremmel

I realize that rape does not equal significant other, that would be a horrible thing to say. However, I thought that they were dating before rape, like how Brody and Claire were before the attempted rape. --Ice Vision

  • Claire and Brody didn't date, they had a fling. Flings are a beautiful thing, don't confuse them with relationships. (I love being single)--Bob 00:29, 26 April 2007 (EDT)
    • I couldn't find a better word, I was just making assumptions. Whoops.
    • I don't even think they had a fling. I think they had a flirt.--Hardvice (talk) 00:33, 26 April 2007 (EDT)
      • Right, all we know is that Lori "went off with Brody Mitchum once." It's certainly not a "significant other", not a confirmed relationship, and is doubtful if it's even a fling. (I made the same mistake once a few months ago, too -- you're in good company!) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:34, 26 April 2007 (EDT)
        • "Let's call a spade a shovel", needless to say making out with someone isn't the same as a relationship.--Bob 00:36, 26 April 2007 (EDT)
          • Tell that to my high school "girlfriend" ... please! — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:40, 26 April 2007 (EDT)
            • Haha--Bob 01:19, 26 April 2007 (EDT)

Angela Petrelli

I may have been jumping the gun on adding Angela to the list of evolved humans, but her conversation with Claire definitely implied that she was. If you watch the episode on, it's at the beginning of part three of the episode. Claire even picks up on the implications and outright asks if Angela is "like her", which Angela pointedly does not answer. Joser Kyind 08:44, 26 April 2007 (EDT)

  • Right, I totally agree with you, and I've felt that she's had powers for quite some time. (How else would both her sons and her granddaughter have powers, especially since Mr. Petrelli, as far as we can tell, was not an evolved human?) But an implication is not confirmation. We have to wait until she either outright says she has a power (and even then, that's doubtful in some circumstances) or demonstrates her power. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:52, 26 April 2007 (EDT)
I noticed that reference to her having a power too from that exchange too. I also thought a second time when she told Peter as he was about to tell her that he and Nathan had powers, that she knew about them long before they did implied she had some ESP, Empathy, Congitive power. Thirdly, when she was talking to Claire about going to hide in Paris, she referred to when she was young doing things like Claire does, which I thought sounded like her saying she had a power and used to be active with it. Fourthly, when she spoke to Claire about spitting bullets, this too, could have been some congnitive power that revealed this to her. For a final point on her being powered, though, Ask Auillo confirmed it, but he described her power as 'Transportive' is the clip:
Question: Does Mama Petrelli on Heroes have a superpower?— Amanda
Ausiello: She certainly does. And it's very similar to a power possessed by another hero, only in her case, it takes a lot less effort to get from Point A to Point B.
So there are some other things to consider; but like always....we have no conclusive proof yet....we'll just have to wait like we did with Linderman, Dale, Hana, etc...until they manifest it clearly in a show or GN. MY bet is that she might be 'one of those' that Claude talked about to Peter...having multiple congitive, and one transportive. Haitian has two powers, why not Angela? --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 04/26/2007 10:58 (EST)
  • Great points, HDS. What's interesting to note, too, is that whatever power Angela has (if she does) would have been mimicked by Peter, right? Haven't we basically seen all his powers? I wonder if Peter's visions are some kind of power. Some have speculated he absorbed this from Charles, but I wonder if he got it from Mommy Dearest. Hmm... — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:03, 26 April 2007 (EDT)
  • One thing to consider: the Haitian has one power with two different effects. How do we know this? Bennet says the Company has only encountered evolved humans with one power. That doesn't mean all evolved humans only have one power, but since the Haitian is an evolved human whom the company has encountered, then it follows that he has only one power. Similarly, although Hiro can teleport, stop slow or reverse time, and time travel, he only has one power: the ability to bend space and time.--Hardvice (talk) 12:23, 26 April 2007 (EDT)
    • I mentioned this idea over at 9thWonders....what if Angela has the power that is documented in Chandra's Journal (Mexico Guy and Indonesian Girl) of TRANSPORTATION. And what if the characteristics of Transportation allow for both mental and physical transportation? This would allow Angela to Transport herself mentally into other peoples minds/dreams/whatever...satisfying the clues from a mental perspective, as well as her being able to Transport herself physically from location to location similar to teleporting. I think I'll add this to the Angie-Theories page. It could account for both sets of clues, and be similar to the Haitians 'two-aspects' of the same power ability. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 04/26/2007 13:02 (EST)
      • Power be damned, I'm just intrigued that we're calling her Angie. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:44, 26 April 2007 (EDT)
        • There ain't a woman that comes close to her.--Hardvice (talk) 14:40, 26 April 2007 (EDT)
          • That, and she's such a funny girl--I wonder when she'll find Mr. Right? — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:15, 26 April 2007 (EDT)
