After moving to the U.S. in 1955 Nariaki attened school in Eastern Los Angeles and procedded to college and graduated in 1971 only to re-inroll in a Kyoto based college. Nariaki then took a 3 month excursion though multiple countries. After transfering in and out of various ministries he later settled back in Los Angeles where he continues to lead.

Nariaki Ito is a Reverend at the Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple. He is the first born son to Horyu and Kazuko Ito.
