William Katt is the actor who portrays Jim McCann.
About
William Katt is best known for playing "Ralph Hinkley" and his misfit superhero alter-ego in The Greatest American Hero. Katt was also seen as "Paul Drake Jr." in a few Perry Mason television films and the award-winning Broadway production of Pippin (a performance of which was broadcast on television). Katt has also appeared in such works as House M.D., JAG, Andromeda, Justice League, Walker, Texas Ranger, 7th Heaven, Batman, Models Inc., Animaniacs, Dark Justice, Murder, She Wrote, Sisters, Good Sports, Our House, The Rainmaker, Carrie, Gunsmoke, Ironside, and M*A*S*H. Katt directed the films River's End and Clean and Narrow, which he also wrote.
In 2008, Katt started his own line of comic books called Catastrophic Comics.
Trivia
- In 1976, William Katt auditioned for the part of "Luke Skywalker" in Star Wars. Though the role went to Mark Hamill, footage of Katt's audition has been featured in many Star Wars documentaries.
