*Wow, almost every one of those pictures is slightly different than the ones released by NBC. Hmm. And it's odd that they would have everybody pose for the map picture, and then do another shot throwing Leonard Roberts in there. Plus, I've seen video footage of the shooting of that map picture, and Leonard was nowhere to be found. I find this highly interesting, and am now wondering if NBC is trying to pull a big hoax by not including Leonard in any of the publicity (press conferences, interviews, Heroes World Tour, Comic-Con) for Season Two, just to trick fans. I don't really know what to make of all that. -- 19:35, 3 September 2007 (EDT)

** D.L. Hawkins is an enigma. It's best left unsolved - he's simply too powerful for us all, and would crush us if we came close to the truth. --DocM 19:40, 3 September 2007 (EDT)

** It'll be nice if they don't kill him at least, even if he's only back as a recurring character. It bugs me a bit that all three of the season one series regulars who appear to have gotten the axe are ethnic minorities. I'll be impressed when they off one of the white boys. Speaking of, I wish they'd had the balls to make Peter and Nathan's exit permanent. Now that would have been impressive--setting up an entire season long story to kill off two of your bread-and-butter characters in one heroic sacrifice--but I guess that would have made NBC's collective heads explode. Did he take the money?

  • If you watch the scene at the end of Better Halves he picks up Micah and carries him away, but he's not carrying the briefcase with the money. So we don't know that he definitely took the money, though it does seem likely. (Admin 13:02, 1 November 2006 (EST))
  • Wow, good catch. I totally missed that.--Hardvice 14:53, 1 November 2006 (EST)

Powers

  • In Nothing to Hide, when D.L. and Micah (and Hiro and Ando) come upon the car accident, D.L. goes to the car to pull the driver out. With the door locked, he phases through the window to open the door from the inside. If you watch this scene, the window surrounding DL's arm ripples like a pond with a stone tossed into it. This suggests that D.L.'s phasing ability does not change his body, but rather items that he comes in contact with (or proximity to). This is consistent with the unreferenced note of Leonard Roberts saying that D.L.'s power works by changing the objects he passes through. (Jared 16:07, 29 November 2006 (EST))
  • I think it pushes the molecules out. BTW the Profiles are stating that DL's powers is Shape-Shifting?! [1] User:Red
    • Unfortunately a bit of information on NBC's site has turned out to be inaccurate. This appears to be yet another example. It's a shame. (Admin 15:24, 13 January 2007 (EST))
      • See here for info about using NBC.com as a source. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:18, 13 January 2007 (EST)
        • It bears some resembelance to proposed 'bose solids'. All the atoms in a solid act as a single wavefunction and seemlessly 'drop' through others. I agree with point1, that he alters other objects rather than himself, hence he can pull nik-ssica through the wall in the hardest part. Something to ponder (if you wanna be REALLY pedantic) is why he doesnt drop through the floor. -AlexC

Chronology

Never thought about it before: D.L. was arrested for the robbery six months before Hiros (putting the robbery on or about April 5), and Six Months Ago takes place on & around April 24. Even allowing for an approximate meaning of "six months ago", such as "anything between five months and a day and six months", there's still not very much time between SMA and the robbery ... if the robbery is later than April 30, then it's really five months before Hiros no matter how you slice it. I think it's interesting that the entire plan was formed, scrapped, re-formed, and executed in under a week. Maybe DL's not the career criminal that making him an ex-con with a "crew" implies after all...--Hardvice (talk) 14:29, 11 February 2007 (EST)

  • Yeah, I think somewhere around the production of Six Months Ago, the production staff tweaked their chronology a bit. That would explain the confusion surrounding the Homecoming (event) date; they tried to solidify it with Mohinder's "9 days" line in Fallout. Hopefully, they'll realize that people (read: us nerds) are paying attention to the details of the timeline, and they'll be more consistent. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:27, 11 February 2007 (EST)

Traitor?

So based on Hiros' Blog in the future D.L. is a traitor?--ASEO 10:52, 2 May 2007 (EDT)

  • Mr. Bennet is the traitor. He sold out Future Hiro and Ando to Matt, and also apparently turned over the "dangerous" evolved humans he was supposed to be helping.--Hardvice (talk) 16:42, 2 May 2007 (EDT)
    • So what was the point of DL in hiros blog puzzle?--ASEO 16:52, 2 May 2007 (EDT)
      • If you sent an email to dlh@primatechpaper.com, you got an email from Hiro intended for Hana. He was sending her a clue for the next email address to use, like the previous puzzle.--Hardvice (talk) 17:33, 2 May 2007 (EDT)

Death

  • I guess until Episode 23 airs we should keep him listed as dead, but I think I saw him alive in the previews for it. FlyingMan 23:40, 14 May 2007 (EDT)
    • He should not be listed as dead until he's shown to be dead. As best as I could tell, he wasn't quite dead yet.--Hardvice (talk) 23:41, 14 May 2007 (EDT)
      • That's pretty much my bad, as I jumped the gun on this one. He probably can't be dead yet, as he has yet to meet Sylar (Sylar (future)).--Tim Thomason 23:47, 14 May 2007 (EDT)
        • Can we tell if Linderman is dead?--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:00, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
          • Well, D.L. was holding his brain in his hand, so I'd say yes.--Hardvice (talk) 00:02, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
      • Linderman, Thompson, and Sprague were all seen with severe death-causing head trauma and were made up to look and act dead. D.L. Hawkins, although poetically his death seems imminent, was merely dying at the end of the ep (from a gunshot wound to the chest or maybe upper gut). It's possible that he can be healed somehow, although he killed his best chance, and I don't think Peter ever met Linderman.--Tim Thomason 00:09, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
        • Then again, D.L. has survived being shot before. It could very well be in a similar area that's not life-threatening.--Piemanmoo 02:31, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
  • Linderman is definatley dead, D.L. however isn't. In the end you still see him twitching and breathing, even if barely. Also take note that in FYG, Sylar has D.L.'s power... and so far from what we've seen, Sylar only takes powers from those still alive when he comes into contact with them. I don't think a dead brain would be of use to him. --Riddler 22:21, 15 May 2007 (EDT)

Season 2 Promo Picture ?

On the show's official Myspace, if you go in the photo gallery section (sub-category of the Watch section) picture #2 appears to be a season 2 promotionnal picture of DL/Leonard. (He is also present on picture #13, the group pic) I was just wondering whenever or not we should replace the current picture with this one, since this seems to be the only place where it is available ? --LeoChris 18:27, September 3, 2007

  • If you can capture it and upload it, that would be consistent with the other main character photos. Could you also get that group photo? It's very similar to this one.--Bob 19:19, 3 September 2007 (EDT)
