Chandra's files are a series of research files compiled by Chandra Suresh on the emergence of unusual genetic powers.
About
Chandra Suresh kept a number of different files relating to evolved humans:
- The Genesis Files, which Mohinder found in Chandra's Chennai, India apartment, and later moved to his Brooklyn, NY apartment.
- Files found in Chandra's Brooklyn, NY apartment.
- Files found in Chandra's Chennai, India apartment.
- Sanjog's file, which Mohinder discovered locked in his father's desk at his office at Chennai University.
Genesis
As Mohinder searches Chandra's apartment in Madras, India, he discovers the files. The files contain information on, among other things, regeneration, teleportation, and radiation poisoning. They also appears to contain information about Sylar.
Shortly after discovering the files, Mohinder overhears a man talking in the next room. Mohinder hastily gathers up the files and takes them with him to New York City.
Seven Minutes to Midnight
Mohinder returns to India for his father's funeral. He brings a box of his father's research with him, including the Genesis files and the journal. He briefly flips through the file folders.
Later, following Sanjog Iyer's clue from a dream, Mohinder uses the key to unlock his father's desk drawer, and discovers Sanjog's file.
Six Months Ago
In Chandra's apartment, Chandra Suresh examines Gabriel Gray for any signs of special abilities but finds nothing. When Chandra decides to move on, Gabriel becomes agitated, and grabs a stack of Chandra's files, including one for Brian Davis. He throws the files down in anger, but keeps the Post-It note with Brian's address.
Folder Information
- A stack of file folders are picked up and thrown across the room in the Brooklyn, NY apartment by Sylar. The top folder contains specific information about Brian Davis and his power of Telekinesis. (Homecoming)
- The Mozaic file is another file that is shown by Mohinder in the Brooklyn, NY apartment (The Fix)
- Sanjog Iyer also has a folder in the Chennai, India apartment. (Seven Minutes to Midnight)
Notes
- All of Chandra's files, whether the Genesis Files, or either set of file folders from his two apartments, seem to be directly tied to the documentation of genetically evolved humans. There has not been enough details given yet, to determine the distinction between the various sets of folders may be.
