Dan Byrd is the American actor who portrays Luke Campbell.


Daniel "Dan" Byrd (born November 20, 1985) was born in Chicago, Illinois and started acting at a very young age. His family moved from their new home of Marietta, Georgia to Los Angeles to allow Dan to pursue an acting career. His first high profile role was as "Mark Petrie" in the 2004 remake of Salem's Lot. Later that year he appeared in the Hilary Duff movie A Cinderella Story with fellow Heroes actress Madeline Zima and the short-lived CBS sitcom Clubhouse.

His next starring role was in the 2006 remake of Wes Craven's The Hills Have Eyes, for he received good reviews. He also starred alongside John Travolta in Lonely Hearts, a biopic of two of America's most notorious serial killers.

In 2007, after many auditions, Dan was awarded the role of "Justin Tolchuck" in the CW comedy series Aliens In America, which featured a Muslim exchange student who moves in with a typical American family.

Dan joined Heroes for three episodes in 2008, before being cast in the new comedy series for ABC, Cougar Town, as the teenage son of the main character, played by Courteney Cox. He will star in the forthcoming movie Norman as the title character, who lies about having cancer in order to get a girlfriend. He also starred in the 2010 teen comedy Easy A, also featuring Malcolm McDowell and Bonnie Burroughs.
