Identity

So, never been an iStorier myself, but this sounds like an interesting concept. Any theories on L, W, and R? I'd go with Rachel, if I knew whether or not she was involved. :) W is tricky because there isn't that many W's that we know of, are there? -- Tristan0709 talk 02:34, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

  • I don't think they necessarily need to be three people we've met yet. And judging from the story, I don't think R is Rachel... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 03:10, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
  • As I already mentioned here, I would go with Ricardo rather than Rachel. If they are all first names of people we've already met, there is one W that sticks out, IMHO, but I guess it could be someone new.--MiamiVolts (talk) 03:12, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
    • Another thing: are we recycling plot-lines already? Not this specifically, but there are similarities between evsdropr and Libertad. -- Tristan0709 talk 03:13, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
      • An unidentified mystery person or group is very common in literature and other media. I'd say it's a reimagined storytelling device, not a recycled plot. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 03:16, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
        • I agree with Ryan. If you read into it some more, some of the similarities are explained in that Libertad knows about Evs Dropper. Thus, restarting things like the trojan intercept and the Primatech map makes sense (at least, imho).--MiamiVolts (talk) 03:23, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
          • Fair enough. I have a similar complaint with that they seem to not want to get rid of Tim Sale on the show. But hey, his paintings are incredible, so I don't really mind. -- Tristan0709 talk 03:31, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
            • I agree with you about Tim Sale. Fantastic art--the best! It's a style that really is unique and gives a very cool flavor to Heroes. But I worry that the prophetic paintings are a storytelling device that might be overused--they even become a crutch at points. When Matt became the newest prophet, I had mixed feelings. I was very excited by the prospect of seeing more Tim art (by the way, he never does the paintings--he does the art in black and white (he's colorblind), and then Dave Stewart expertly colors them, and then they're blown up onto canvases). I was psyched that there would be new Timmy art--and it delivered! But I cringed at the thought of more prophetic storytelling. It sometimes feels lazy, and sometimes there are loose ends with the art not being mentioned again. Worse, sometimes there's a big buildup and subsequent letdown of anticipation. This season is no exception on both accounts with the prophetic drawings--great art, muddy storytelling technique. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 04:33, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
              • Agree completely. I love the paintings, Sale is incredible, but it is practically past its use-by date now. Like you said, they open up plot-holes: How can one stop a future that has already been painted? I liked the introduction of Usutu, and, at that point, I think they had two options: either introduce Usutu and keep him alive, or bypass the Volume Three storyline, and go straight to Matt finding out that he can paint the future, with a quick, one scene cameo from the dearly departed Isaac explaining this to him. The other thing I don't like: How powerful are they going to make Matt? His ability has gone from a quick thought entering his head, to seeking out thoughts, to controlling thoughts, then casting illusions and putting people into comas, and now seeing the future? The last three seem out of place with the rest, and they've made the character too powerful for his own good. Completely and utterly off-topic, I know. -- Tristan0709 talk 04:45, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
            • I agree, but what annoys me is the fact that the writers got rid of time travel, which (personally) I think is a much better device than a single painting, for precognition. I would have prefered space time manipulation --IronyUTC CH 12:39, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
  • I think L is Leona, W is West Rosen and R is Richard Drucker (Richard's death happened in 2008). --posted by Laughingdevilboy

Talk 18:22, 23 March 2009 (GMT)

    • You might be right about Leona, but I doubt that the show's ever bringing West back. Given Anna's involvement I think R might be for Ricardo Silva, aka Red Eye. Last we saw Anna was with him.--WarGrowlmon18 15:19, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
  • Maybe it stands for Lyle anna West ricardo lol Gabriel Bishop 18:38, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
  • The new graphic novel Scenic Route seems to imply that West is the W. --Elemental Manipulator [ U | T | C ] - When in doubt, ask BTE 05:37, 7 April 2009 (EDT)
    • I think it may go. L = Leona or Luke, A = Anna, W = West and R = Rebel --posted by Laughingdevilboy

Talk 12:24, 7 April 2009 (EDT)

      • I don't think R could be Rebel because he seems to say that we worked WITH LAWR, implying that he isn't part of it.--Ikkian 13:25, 7 April 2009 (EDT)

I was wondering what happened to them.

I only read the summaries of the Istorys since I have a severe case of tl;dr, and I had been wondering what happened to Anna and Ricardo. I was gonna send a message to BTE but this answered my question. I'm only curious as to how the meeting with Anna, Ricardo, and Claire went after they met at the college. They never showed that. Now, who could possibly be L and W?--Riddler 09:33, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

  • Read my first comment above. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 13:22, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

4 people?

could u guys indicate me where does it say that they are 4 people called after initials of their names?--Manwithnoname 16:04, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

  • It doesn't say that exactly. Anna tells Rachel that in L, A, W, R, she is the A: A for Anna. It's implied that there are four people, but it's not necessary that the letters are all first initials (though it's a likely assumption).--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:52, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

oh man totally sorry i forgot--Manwithnoname 18:29, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

  • I'm going with eLLen for the L in LAWR. Also, who made the picture? I like it. --Crazylicious 21:15, 1 April 2009 (EDT)
    • Thanks, Ryan and I both worked on it. Ryan made the finished product.--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:49, 1 April 2009 (EDT)
  • After the most recent graphic novel, Scenic route, does anyone else think that the R stands for Redhouse? West did ask alex what happened to sparrow. --Alchemist 14:49, 7 April 2009 (EDT)
  • Speaking of that GN, I think we can fill in West as the W! Hooray!!!! --Crazylicious 17:11, 7 April 2009 (EDT)
    • We can't fill it in yet because for all we know W could stand for Woolsly. Although I do believe that West is the W. --Elemental Manipulator [ U | T | C ] - When in doubt, ask BTE 02:29, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
      • Yeah, but then why would Rebel have sent Claire to help Alex, if Alex was helping Rebel? --Crazylicious 18:14, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
      • Unless "R" is Rosen! BoomerDay 17:51, 11 April 2009 (EDT)
      • lol Makes Sense i was about to make a topic about that, it's been bugging me all day--Skyeatsout 20:19, 17 April 2009 (EDT)
      • Isn't R, REBEL? WaterRatj 20:22, 17 April 2009 (EDT)
        • No it was stated in the recent IStory that it was Rachel Mills. --posted by Laughingdevilboy

          • then where is rebel then? or is he sepperatly? Like those 4, help rebel? WaterRatj 19:26, 17 April 2009 (EDT)
            • He got them to work for him and it turns out the are 5 people. Victor and Valerie make the W (V+V=VV) I thought quite clever, threw all of us off lol. --posted by Laughingdevilboy

              • Nice , but i don't follow iStory, only the real heroes show WaterRatj 19:32, 17 April 2009 (EDT)

Maybe W is two Vs?

I think the W is just the two Vs (VV), and done like that to be creative. The two Vs would be the twins. --OutbackZack 03:10, 21 April 2009 (EDT)

Rebel

The opening statement should be edited so that Rebel sounds like a group instead of one person because as it is if someone was to read that before reading about Rebel would assume Rebel is a single person. Also in the infobox known leader should be changed so that to doesn't lead people to believe Rebel is a single person. --Snow Leapord 09:39, 22 May 2009 (EDT)
