When Venson was a teenager, his father had a massive heart attack which led to prolonged hospitalization. After having spent a month in the hospital with his condition not getting much better, Tyler was overwhelmed with emotions he couldn't control, leading to the first manifestation of his ability. He propelled an EMP throughout the hospital, deactivating all electronically based mechanisms. This killed his father as well as 4 other terminally ill patients in the hospital. Following his father's funeral, Venson's emotional health became unstable. He started to manifest his ability more often, deactivating his entire high school several times a week. He attempted suicide in 2006, interrupted when his sister smashed through the barricaded door into his room. She had to wrestle the knife out of his hand. Once she yanked it from his hand, she accidentally slashed her brother's back leaving the V shaped scar on his shoulder. Once he turned 18, Venson flew off to London to seek a new life purpose. After that, the Company was unable to monitor his progress with his ability. He is suspected to have caused a blackout in the London underground and the streets above, but this claim is unconfirmed.
