== Adding Wikipedia interwiki link on [[:fr:|French Heroes Wiki]] and creation of my account on the German wiki. == |

Hi Admin,<br/>Is it possible please to add the Interwiki shortcut link for the French Wikipedia (<code><nowiki>http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/$1</nowiki></code>) and create for me an account on the German Heroes Wiki (to update interwiki links mostly). == Name Changes == |
|||
I want to put the images I uploaded into pages like images from A Clear and Present Danger and images from Trust and Blood. I don't really know if it would improve the galleries, I just want to put them there considering no one else seems to upload these files. If you reply to this, thank you. --[[User:Virgil|Virgil]] ([[User talk:Virgil|talk]]) |
|||
I'm curious about the technicalities involved in name changes. After you change names, it looks like you just move the user pages and user talk pages to the new username. But the old pages, which now contain redirects, aren't deleted. Am I right to assume that you block new users from taking the old username after moves? I'm not considering a name change atm, but I don't want there to be potential db holes if this continues to be an ongoing thing.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 23:18, 1 December 2007 (EST) |
|||
* The old redirects '''will''' be deleted, I'm just leaving them temporarily until Japanimation changes all the old links over to his new name. As part of the name change process the requestor needs to be willing to update all the links to their old name so that it's all cleared out in case someone else registers it in the future. I forgot to point this out explicitly before this particular name change, but I don't think there will be a problem. ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 23:21, 1 December 2007 (EST)) |
|||
** That can be a lot of updates for some users. Japanimation is relatively new, so it's not that big of a problem. Maybe you can check into whether the bot could help with that for future changes. Just a thought.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 23:30, 1 December 2007 (EST) |

*** It can't do it currently, but in time as I add more functionality it may be able to. It's a good idea. ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 23:32, 1 December 2007 (EST)) |

==Bot request (maybe)== |

* Take a look at [[User:Hardvice/Guest_stars]]. We're ready to go with autoportals for minor characters except for one thing: lots of the characters articles don't have <code>|sortname=</code> set. Is it possible to have the bot set |sortname= to PAGENAME for all of the articles which don't have a sortname? Does it matter that some have the variable, but leave it blank, while others don't have the variable at all? Can it be done in two passes if that does matter? Are we better off doing it by hand?--[[User:Hardvice|Hardvice]] <small>[[User talk:Hardvice|(talk)]]</small> 05:25, 2 December 2007 (EST) |

|||
******* I don't think I understand what a category tag is or what you mean by "all categories that those pages have defined". What needs to happen, as far as I understand, is that any article in [[:Category:Characters]] that does not have <code>|sortname=</code> defined in their [[template:character box|character box]] should be defined as <code><nowiki>|sortname={{PAGENAME}}</nowiki></code>. I hope that helps. If that's still not what you're looking for, I'll let [[User:Hardvice|Hardvice]] respond. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 18:12, 2 December 2007 (EST) |

Thank you for the reply and I was wondering if I could put some of the images into pages like images of Tracy Strauss or images of Claire Bennet or other character pages like that and even putting them in character history pages to show them what happened to them in the corresponding episode. Hey Admin, remember me? The Hebrew-version guy? :P |
|||
We haven't talked for a while, although I do read here everyday. I haven't given up on the Hebrew Wiki, and I'm planning on bringing it back to life during the break. |
|||
Hey, Admin. I just noticed that on the [[list of evolved humans]] page, there are a few times it says "span id" where it shouldn't. I think those are for links from other pages so that clicking on the links will take you directly to the span id section. Any way you could fix that? It must have gotten missed in the last update... |||
** Hi, the main reason is that the <tt><nowiki>{{Evolved}}</nowiki></tt>'s field <tt>name</tt> for those rows have been filled by a wikilink. the "id" doesn't support wikilinks in its name. More, the template auto-add a wikiling for the character. Cheers --[[User:LIMAFOX76|LIMAFOX76]] ([[User talk:LIMAFOX76|talk]]) 14:47, 12 July 2015 (EDT) |

There seems to be a glitch with [[Special:WantedPages]]. It's pulling everything from various templates. For instance, there are [[Special:WhatLinksHere/Unknown|140 links to the word "unknown"]], even though none of them are actually red links. * Hey there. Sorry, been busy. Can you give me a sample article on the Hebrew version where you're seeing this? Also as for Chuck when I setup a new wiki I like to do it early so that it becomes established rather than having to compete with other subsequent wikis that get created. Since Chuck has been out for a while now it's a little too late. Wikia has a wiki on Chuck you can check out if you'd like. If you find out about any other new series coming out next year that sounds like a good fit for a wiki, let me know once you hear about it so I can consider setting up a site before another wiki on it becomes well-established. *** I have seen most of them, but the code is much more difficult to change now compared to how it was years ago. As for the span issue, is that perhaps a template issue someone could repair? **** Understandable. [[User:Hardvice|Hardvice]] was a genius! ... Do you know what version of HTML the site is running? -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 01:42, 27 July 2015 (EDT) |

***** Sites don't typically run a particular version of HTML, though they may incorporate features in different versions to varying degrees. Browsers however support specific versions of HTML (or features defined in that particular version). That being said I didn't check to see if there's any HTML5 in the current code (and it would be difficult for me to tell offhand), but I would hope if so MediaWiki is designed to be backwards compatible. ([[User:Admin|Admin]] ([[User talk:Admin|talk]]) 01:50, 27 July 2015 (EDT)) |
|||
****** Okay, I think the issue on [[list of evolved humans]] page is solved. For some reason, it wasn't allowing the <code>sup</code> code to work near the <code>span id</code> code. Not sure why -- it always worked in the past. Oh well, I just took out the superscript footnote numbers and replaced them with asterisks and daggers. So problem fixed ... but I'd still like to know what caused the issue in the first place... -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 02:07, 27 July 2015 (EDT) |

== formatting in system messages == |

Hey, Admin. I'm noticing that many of the [[Special:AllMessages|system messages]] aren't taking formatting the way they're supposed to. For instance, [[MediaWiki:Returnto]] has always used the <tt><nowiki><b></nowiki></tt> tag for bold and it's worked for years. But now when the message appears (like [http://heroeswiki.com/index.php?title=Template:AppearancesThe_Painted_Lady&action=edit§ion=T-1 here] for instance), it's not formatted correctly. Instead it shows the tags in the message. Any idea why, or how to fix it? Thanks! -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 03:32, 28 July 2015 (EDT) |

* Unfortunately, per our [[help:naming conventions]], it's no to all. Induced radioactivity, freezing, rapid cell regeneration, replication, bliss and horror, and lightning all come from [[Help:sources|canon or near-canon soruces]], which trumps any made-up names. "Florakinesis" literally means "flower movement". "Omnilinguality" is just a very awkward form of "omnilingualism", which follows the pattern of real words like "bilingualism".--[[User:Hardvice|Hardvice]] <small>[[User talk:Hardvice|(talk)]]</small> 16:21, 2 December 2007 (EST) |

Hi! As you might already know, the writers have named the first Heroes Reborn episode the same as the last episode of Heroes (Brave New World), so we've now got about 400 pages to re-link to the Heroes episode instead of the [[Brave New World (disambig)|disambig page]] that we're later going to be using. I've offered to do this myself with a wiki bot, but I don't know if I would be allowed to since I'm a relatively new user and the only bot account on the wiki belongs to you. Basically all instances of "Episode:Brave New World" need to be replaced with "Episode:Brave New World (Heroes)". -[[User:Kon|Kon]] ([[User talk:Kon|talk]]) 22:22, 15 September 2015 (EDT) |

** Oh, great! Do you mind if I make another account to use the bot on? The reason I ask is so you can flag it as a bot, so that its 400 or so edits don't appear in the RecentChanges by default. :In particular, we're having issues handling load during peak usage. Viewing is fine, but we end up having to lock down key articles right after episodes air to prevent edit conflicts from bringing down the server(s). While the traffic of such surges usually brings in enough to sustain the cost of our current two servers, the slow times (between seasons and episodes) often end up coming out of Joe's (our founder) pockets, and so it's hard to justify adding more servers into the equation. Given your background and experience, we were hoping you might have a few ideas. |

* Yeah, I've seen it (or one like it). I don't like ads like that, but unfortunately I don't have the control over specific ads that I once did (with the exception of ones that are clearly malfunctioning which this one isn't). It's counterproductive in my opinion for companies to use ads like that as it only encourages more people to use ad blockers. Hopefully that ad will move out of the rotation soon enough. *** Just checked and there's no conclusive evidence that they're the same person. We don't have an official policy on multiple usernames. If someone wants multiple usernames they're welcome to use them, though if one is abusive they can all be blocked. I think most people with legitimate goals have no need for multiple usernames, but if someone wants more than one for legitimate purposes they're welcome to it. If more Flanders info gets posted just revert and place a polite warning on their talk page telling them that unless they have a reliable and verifyable source for the info that it cannot be included here. After two warnings, bring it to the admins' attention and we'll monitor it directly or take action. We generally like to give people as much of a chance as possible since reverting edits is so easy. ***** I don't remember for certain since I don't use the Theory pages much, but my recollection is that spoiler info isn't allowed. *** Hi Admin, I just have another long time issue with the images part of the central file database on the French wiki with the "https" web address. in most of the web browsers (like Mozilla Firefox or Opera for example), they are considered as unsecured elements (unlike the local ones) and are not downloaded by default on the page. Hi, I noticed you added a /(slash) to the br tag in the sitenotice. Is there a reason to prefer to have a slash in br tags? I've tried both FF and IE, and I didn't see a difference. Is this something new with FF 3 Beta 2?--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 16:52, 24 December 2007 (EST) |

* As far as I know all browsers are smart enough not to get confused when it's left open, but according to proper [http://www.w3.org/ W3] standards all XHTML content (which is what MediaWiki tries to conform to) is supposed to have an explicit closing. Closing the BR properly helps the site be more compliant with W3 which, aside from being tidier, can somewhat influence search rankings with certain engines. ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 17:07, 24 December 2007 (EST)) |
|||
** Ah, thanks for the info. That's very important and useful info. Does this standard also apply to <nowiki><P></nowiki> tags? Strangely, I know about closing P tags by using an extra <nowiki></P></nowiki> after the text, but I didn't recall about closing BR tags using a slash used after the tagname. Is <nowiki><P/></nowiki> correct usage per W3 standards?--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 17:31, 24 December 2007 (EST) |
|||
*** I don't often see <nowiki><p /></nowiki> but as that syntax is generally shorthand for <nowiki><p></p></nowiki> then it should also be acceptable (assuming that <nowiki><p></nowiki> is allowed to be empty according to the standards (I don't know offhand). ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 17:38, 24 December 2007 (EST)) |
|||
**** According to [http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/#C_3 these standards], <nowiki><p></nowiki> should not be used in empty form; also, it says that horizontal rule and image tags should be handled like br (adding a slash), and that all attribute values should be in quotes. Hi, |
|||
I agree that this needed discussion. I was reluctant to fully advertise it myself. I just wanted people to be aware that it does exist. |
|||
However, when my honestly was questioned by another member (something I completely understand) and a point was made about me not including a link, I felt obliged to do so. |
|||
What do you think is the best way forward? I would be happy if people just knew they were available and could search for them themselves. Obviously the eBay link will expire soon anyways. |
|||
Thanks! --[[User:Legasafe|Legasafe]] 14:11, January 18, 2008 |
|||
* The default reaction when it looks like blatant advertising is to just remove the link which was absolutely the right thing to do (which I'm glad you understood). The text was well written and comes off as informative even if there's an advertising component to it. As a very popular Heroes site that people come to for information I think it could be useful to allow content like you added, though what I don't know is whether it should be within the Notes section or somewhere as an external link for instance. Since this is perhaps the first instance of such a thing I think it's best to discuss with the community and see what the consensus is. For now I just reformatted the link to make it less obtrusive, but if it gets removed again then it will need discussion before it's added again. ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 14:19, 18 January 2008 (EST)) |
|||
* At the same time I think we need to be careful about opening the door where anyone with a Heroes product is free to link to it which ends up turning our articles into giant ad collections. I think it'd be nice if there's some kind of middle ground, but if not we may have to default to omitting anything that looks like an ad. ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 14:30, 18 January 2008 (EST)) |
|||
** That's true. Well its up to the community I guess. I know I searched high and low for one of these. Does the heroes wiki have an article on the action figures? etc..? --[[User:Legasafe|Legasafe]] 14:35, January 18, 2008 |
|||
*** Yes, we [[Action_figures|do]]. So there is some precedent for including commercial links though I think so far they've all been for products sanctioned by NBC. We also try to minimize our risk by not promoting products that may infringe on US copyrights (regardless of the country of origin) which may or may not be an issue for your particular product. So, like I said, I think it would be nice if we could help promote items like this, but we'll have to see whether there are any issues with it as well as exactly where the information should be located in a given article. I expect other people will chime in at some point today. ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 14:39, 18 January 2008 (EST)) |
|||
* I think having the information on the products is useful, but we shouldn't provide a link; people can quite easily just go on eBay and search "Sylar watch". --{{User:Heroe/sig}} 14:50, 18 January 2008 (EST) |
|||
** In that instance, what would be the difference between including the external link or not? Not including it just makes it more difficult to find information on something we're already informing people about in the article. ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 14:53, 18 January 2008 (EST)) |
|||
*I have no problem with the note on the [[Sylar's watch]] page. I don't see a problem with including factual information about ''Heroes''-related products that are not sanctioned by NBC, so long as it doesn't "sound" like an ad, and is written with objective language. [[Portal:Multimedia|Multimedia]] promotional items (like the [[trading cards]] and [[action figures]]) make good subjects for their own articles, I think. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 15:39, 18 January 2008 (EST) |

Besides, I was pretty clear in another message that I didn't know everything there was to know about cascading protection, so you're not going to get a good reply out of me. And considering that Hardvice, Bob, and Ted are not editing every day, it might take some time to hear back from the administrators who are editing more frequently. == Making a forum for the site == |
|||
This could be a horrible idea and you could absolutly hate it, but I know a place that let's you make proffessional looking forums easily. They even have a system that allows you to pick a domain name, such as http://forums.heroeswiki.com (this link goes nowhere). I thought that this could be a good idea for Heroes Wiki. It could let people have discussions about the show and the running of the wiki. --[[User:Thetobiasempire|Thetobiasempire]] 20:09, 19 February 2008 (EST)- |
|||
* Hey, Thetobiasempire. It's not a horrible idea at all. In fact it's been [[Heroes_Wiki_talk:Community_Portal/Archive1#Heroeswiki_Forum|discussed]] in the past as well. Discussions about the wiki really ought to remain on the wiki itself. The discussion pages are very good for that. We're also not too strict on the conversations that start on the talk pages (as long as it's at least relevent to the article in some way) so a lot of the ability to have a discussion is already taken care of. Where a forum comes in would be promoting something even less formal... a place where people could essentially just chit-chat and talk about anything Heroes related they wanted. As mentioned in that discussion I linked to earlier there, there are already a number of really good Heroes forums for people to discuss Heroes and I don't think a new Heroes Wiki forum would really be all that popular. As I say, I like that we can focus on what we do best which is running a wiki rather than trying to moderate a message board. Good suggestion, though. :) ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 20:17, 19 February 2008 (EST)) |

Adding Wikipedia interwiki link on French Heroes Wiki and creation of my account on the German wiki.
Hi Admin,
Is it possible please to add the Interwiki shortcut link for the French Wikipedia (http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/$1) and create for me an account on the German Heroes Wiki (to update interwiki links mostly). Thank you very much. Best Regards --LIMAFOX76 (talk) 08:15, 9 April 2015 (EDT)

Adding images I uploaded
Hi Admin, I want to put the images I uploaded into pages like images from A Clear and Present Danger and images from Trust and Blood. I don't really know if it would improve the galleries, I just want to put them there considering no one else seems to upload these files. If you reply to this, thank you. --Virgil (talk)
Another set of additions
Thank you for the reply and I was wondering if I could put some of the images into pages like images of Tracy Strauss or images of Claire Bennet or other character pages like that and even putting them in character history pages to show them what happened to them in the corresponding episode. Could I also put images of other episodes in character history pages? I was just wondering. If you reply to this, thank you for reading it. --Virgil (talk)
span id not working
Hey, Admin. I just noticed that on the list of evolved humans page, there are a few times it says "span id" where it shouldn't. I think those are for links from other pages so that clicking on the links will take you directly to the span id section. Any way you could fix that? It must have gotten missed in the last update... Thanks! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:04, 12 July 2015 (EDT)
- I'll see if I can figure it out. Where's Miami for this kind of magic when ya need em?! :) (Admin (talk) 13:31, 12 July 2015 (EDT))
- Hi, the main reason is that the {{Evolved}}'s field name for those rows have been filled by a wikilink. the "id" doesn't support wikilinks in its name. More, the template auto-add a wikiling for the character. Cheers --LIMAFOX76 (talk) 14:47, 12 July 2015 (EDT)
- In all seriousness, do you need me to dig up Miami's email address? I might have it somewhere. Or you can leave a message on his page -- he might still have it set to send him a notification... Just a thought... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:51, 12 July 2015 (EDT)

wanted pages
There seems to be a glitch with Special:WantedPages. It's pulling everything from various templates. For instance, there are 140 links to the word "unknown", even though none of them are actually red links. It might actually be an issue with the #ifexist command, but I'm not sure. Could you take a look? Thanks! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:17, 21 July 2015 (EDT)
- I saw this a while ago, I thought it was a problem with a specific template at the time though. It does look like something to do with #ifexist. -Lөvөl 01:24, 22 July 2015 (EDT)

- I have seen most of them, but the code is much more difficult to change now compared to how it was years ago. As for the span issue, is that perhaps a template issue someone could repair? We use some rather elaborate templates here and admittedly I've never been able to decode many of them. :) (Admin (talk) 01:20, 27 July 2015 (EDT))
- Understandable. Hardvice was a genius! ... Do you know what version of HTML the site is running? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:42, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
- Sites don't typically run a particular version of HTML, though they may incorporate features in different versions to varying degrees. Browsers however support specific versions of HTML (or features defined in that particular version). That being said I didn't check to see if there's any HTML5 in the current code (and it would be difficult for me to tell offhand), but I would hope if so MediaWiki is designed to be backwards compatible. (Admin (talk) 01:50, 27 July 2015 (EDT))

So problem fixed ... but I'd still like to know what caused the issue in the first place... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:07, 27 July 2015 (EDT)

formatting in system messages
Hey, Admin. I'm noticing that many of the system messages aren't taking formatting the way they're supposed to. For instance, MediaWiki:Returnto has always used the <b> tag for bold and it's worked for years. But now when the message appears (like here for instance), it's not formatted correctly. Instead it shows the tags in the message. Any idea why, or how to fix it? Thanks! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 03:32, 28 July 2015 (EDT)
- I know I've seen the tags and not the rendered HTML for a long time, but it may well have been since the update. I'm working on updating MediaWiki again it's possible these issues go away there. I'll let you know when there's an updated test site to play around in. (Admin (talk) 12:02, 28 July 2015 (EDT))
Rollback
I'm assuming that was an accidental rollback you made on Sam (disambig)? :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:31, 10 September 2015 (EDT)
- Quite right. Good catch. I often keep an eye on the recent changes from my phone and I must have tapped the rollback link by mistake. :) (Admin (talk) 21:14, 10 September 2015 (EDT))
- It's happened to me too a few times since I've started editing more on mobile devices. It's nice to have such an easy rollback button when we have vandals, but the downside is a button that gets pushed accidentally too often. Oh well! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:29, 10 September 2015 (EDT)
Bots
Hi! As you might already know, the writers have named the first Heroes Reborn episode the same as the last episode of Heroes (Brave New World), so we've now got about 400 pages to re-link to the Heroes episode instead of the disambig page that we're later going to be using. -Kon (talk) 22:22, 15 September 2015 (EDT)
- You're welcome to do it yourself using your account. We don't enforce any restrictions on bots as long as they're working right. :) (Admin (talk) 00:42, 16 September 2015 (EDT))
- Oh, great! Do you mind if I make another account to use the bot on? The reason I ask is so you can flag it as a bot, so that its 400 or so edits don't appear in the RecentChanges by default. That would be an eyesore for anyone monitoring the RC for proper user edits. -Kon (talk) 01:44, 17 September 2015 (EDT)
I tried making a page for Facebook, due to it being referenced by several characters over several episodes, but it looks like it's... disappeared from view? It exists, but I can't link to it anywhere. -Kon (talk) 09:11, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
- Like this? Facebook (Admin (talk) 14:33, 19 September 2015 (EDT))
- Yes, exactly like that... could it be due to some sort of spam filter? -Kon (talk) 14:44, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
- I don't believe I have any filtering in place that would cause that, no. (Admin (talk) 14:49, 19 September 2015 (EDT))
- Oh, that's interesting. It's not showing up for YOU. Yeah, check any spam/privacy blockers you might have. Interesting that it just completely hides the link for you according to that screenshot. (Admin (talk) 14:52, 19 September 2015 (EDT))

Annoying ad
Thought I should let you know about an annoying ad:

It's for Jeep. It was able to minimize it, but it probably shouldn't be set to be expanded as the default. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:47, 23 September 2015 (EDT)
- Yeah, I've seen it (or one like it). I started a discussion on Talk:Saving Charlie/summary about whether this chapter-by-chapter summaries page should be deleted as it seems to me to be summarizing in depth the for-pay book novel content (electronic, hardcover/hardbound, paperback), which to me seems may not be fair use. I am also asking whether we should have a consensus for Heroes Wiki on handling chapter by chapter summaries for such for-pay book novels in general. If you would like to add your input to the discussion, it would be more than welcome. Thanks. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:53, 22 October 2015 (EDT)
- I saw it, thanks. Been thinking about and researching the situation since you wrote it in fact. (Admin (talk) 17:07, 22 October 2015 (EDT))
Animated Gifs and 9thwonders.com
It was asked by Sandubadear at Talk:Hachiro Otomo about making a gif of Hachiro materializing Katana Girl. Only after I posted some screenshots did I then find out on my user talk page that an animated gif was what was wanted. I'm not comfortable doing the requested animated gif anywhere. However, as the revised 9thwonders.com site contains some animated gifs of some abilities like Tommy's shown there in what appears to be official tumblr blogs, I'm contacting you as I think you might want to develop some policy regarding this (whether it is allowed for documentation purpose on this wiki and/or elsewhere). And if it is allowed, then perhaps someone else can help Sandubadear.--MiamiVolts (talk) 11:39, 8 November 2015 (EST)
- I would recommend bringing it up on the community portal talk page and getting input there. (Admin (talk) 14:11, 9 November 2015 (EST))
- Ok, thanks... and I see now that we do still have a category for animations so I think I may have answered at least part of my own question.--MiamiVolts (talk) 14:57, 9 November 2015 (EST)
- I've started a related discussion at Heroes Wiki talk:Community Portal#Animated Gifs and 9thwonders.com, and I've fixed the anchor for the screenshots in my above comment.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:24, 9 November 2015 (EST)

Hi Admin,
It seems that one spammer has survived. I can't block him as I do not have admin rights on this wiki. Thank you. --LIMAFOX76 (talk) 15:08, 7 January 2016 (EST)
Upload error on the French wiki
Hi Admin,
I have some issues when I try to upload images for the French wiki. I have this error message like this wiki screenshot:
Unable to create folder "xxx". I think that the wiki image directory is write-protected for the Heroeswiki group. Can you please fix the issue. Thank you very much. Cheers! --LIMAFOX76 (talk) 17:16, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
- Should be fixed now. Thanks for letting me know. (Admin (talk) 23:23, 25 January 2018 (UTC))
- It works! Thank you very much. --LIMAFOX76 (talk) 05:59, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Admin, I just have another long time issue with the images part of the central file database on the French wiki with the "https" web address. in most of the web browsers (like Mozilla Firefox or Opera for example), they are considered as unsecured elements (unlike the local ones) and are not downloaded by default on the page. In order to see them, I have to temporarily deactivate the protection on the web page, which automatically reactivates a few clicks later. That's annoying as I would not have to duplicate all the needed files on the local French wiki. Thanks for your input. Cheers! --LIMAFOX76 (talk) 09:01, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
