Both Peter and the Haitian have worn a necklace with the Symbol.
About
Matt Parkman sees a man wearing the necklace in a Los Angeles bar.
In 1992, a young Haitian arrives at the Bennets' home in the company of Thompson. He is already wearing the necklace.
Guillame, the leader and houngan of a Haitian village, wears a necklace with the symbol.
Guillame gives the necklace to his son before taking his own life.

A construct of Hachiro Otomo gives Ren a symbol necklace and tells him that it opens a gateway to the future in Odessa, Texas.
While trying to access an elevator in Gateway with Emily Duval, Ren notices a knob with an indent of the symbol within it and places the symbol necklace he was given within it. The necklace acts as a key to the elevator and allows Ren and Emily access to the core of the facility.
