About
DuVall's first major role was in Robert Rodriguez's The Faculty. She has a history of playing tough characters, including a lesbian in But I'm a Cheerleader opposite Natasha Lyonne and a mental patient opposite Angelina Jolie in Girl, Interrupted. She has also appeared in 21 Grams and Identity. On television, she has appeared in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and was highly acclaimed for her role in HBO's Carnivàle. Contrary to popular belief, she is not related to Robert DuVall.
Clea has appeared with other Heroes cast members in Wildflowers (also featuring Eric Roberts), She's All That (also featuring Milo Ventimiglia), Can't Hardly Wait (also featuring Nicole Bilderback), Zodiac (also featuring John Lacy), CSI (also featuring David Berman and Paul Ganus), Fathers and Sons (also featuring Jessalyn Gilsig), Carnivàle (also featuring Saemi Nakamura), Ten Inch Hero (also featuring Adair Tishler), and Helter Skelter (also featuring Graham Beckel and John Lacy).
Trivia
- According to Greg Beeman's blog, Clea DuVall originally read for the part of Eden McCain. Though she wasn't right for the role, she was very well-liked. In turn, the part of Audrey Hanson was created specifically for her.
