Nick got his start acting in a fellow Nebraskan's movie, Election. He has since had small parts in television shows such as ER, Boston Public, Six Feet Under, Without a Trace, and Cold Case. He has also had roles in a few films such as Inside, Rocket Science, Psycho Beach Party.
