NTare Guma Mbaho Mwine is the actor who portrays Usutu. He also portrayed Joseph Al Amir in the unaired pilot.
About
N'Tare Mwine received much recognition for Beware Of Time, a critically acclaimed documentary which exposes the attitudes of HIV positive Ugandans; N'Tare wrote, produced, directed, and appeared in the documentary. He also wrote Biro, a play about a Ugandan man with AIDS. The play was filmed live at Uganda's National Theatre in 2003; N'Tare wrote, produced, directed, and acted in the resulting video. Some of N'Tare's other notable acting credits include The Riches, Blood Diamond, The Unit, Alias, ER, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Law & Order.
N'Tare is also an avid photographer. His work was a centrally focus of Biro, prominently featured on Six Feet Under, and exhibited at galleries such as the UCLA Fowler Museum of Cultural History, The Latino Art Museum, The United Nations, and Rush Arts Gallery.
